Poor Maidana. He got screwed out of a potential Floyd payday.

Come on guys. If he won so convincingly then why be afraid of a rematch.
Roll back to Pac vs Marquez, guys like you were saying no need for a rematch as Marquez won and that he is not scared but it does nothing

Now here when not to do with pac, you guys saying if chino win so easily, he should give hima rrematch or it was a fluke and he is scared

        The hypocrisy lol

How could fighting broner and possibly losing be better than getting a career high purse in fighting Floyd ? Even if he whoops broner again, all roads lead to Floyd. No shame in fighting Floyd and losing, the broner rematch will still be there . If broner beats him in a rematch the Floyd fight goes away..

So is it because they want Broner to avenge his loss to do some damage control to save their future ppv star? Or did he lie about the clause in the beginning thinking Maidana could potentially fight Floyd? Not sure why he would lie.
No way to know the true answer to your question dude, only Schafer knows what goes on inside his head.

Both should move on to other fights, and have this rematch in their back pocket as a money fight when neither can find any other good option. End of this year, or next year. If either catch more losses they can always fall back on making this rematch, and still pull in tons of interest and money.

It feels that way but if Ortiz beats Collazo clearly people will push for that fight instead.

Never had a thought of a Ortiz rematch until now; I doubt that would happen.

Schaef just oozes sleaze. It seeps out of his pores and leaves a trail when he walks.

I'm pretty sure his team isn't ****** enough to not keep a copy of the original contract for circumstances like this. Nobody is being forced to do **** you guys need to quit with the ****** thread and use your heads. If he is legally binded to a rematch clause then it was in the original contract. Either prove there is no rematch cause or stfu and beat Broner's ass again..what's the problem?
You're very naive. Contracts mean sht to these people. If they dont want a rematch and you have a rematch contract there's countless ways in which they can delay it until a fighter is 40 years old. Happens all the time. You know how many fighters have a reamtch clause and never get to see it, or the "mandatory" fights that take forever? wake up man.
