Whitaker. Floyd can't literally dodge shots on the inside like Pernell can.

He's more of a clincher/arm tie ups/sneaky body shots type of guy.

It depends, Pernell definitely had better upper body movement than Floyd but I believe footwork goes to mayweather.

Floyd, he's taken less punishment than just about any fighter. Pernell was shot by the time he was 36.

I knew what this poll would be just by the thread title. Must come up once a month.

              Whitaker.

Let's put it this way. Past prime, coked out Pernell was making Oscar miss in the center of the ring, and clowning him.

Floyd was relegated to the ropes, and getting hit constantly to the body.

2 different levels of defense, imo.

Actually Pernell was taking more shots in his fight against De La Hoya than I was used to seeing him take. Besides did you see his fight before Oscar? He had to fight Wilfredo Rivera twice, and I had Pernell behind on the scorecards against Diosbelys Hurtado before he stopped him in the 11th. The Whitaker I saw in the ring with Oscar was not as good defensively as Mayweather is or has been, imho.
