You forgot to mention that that's when Floyd offer Manny $40m flat fee, which was the deal breaker at the time.
floyd made that offer after bob said manny could no longer fight on the date because of a cut that needed 4 months to heal and a stadium that needed be erected on the vegas strip
Ali and others are GOATs because none of this BS was an obstacle to a major fight... Frazier had his guys and Ali had his and that was that... Only a ***** nut rider who is a bigger fan of Floyd than of boxing think this is good but its actually very bad for boxing.... Everybody does it (TR, GB, DK, ME, and etc.)but normally once a guy makes it to a certain level then it was never an issue... Example, Ali v Frazier 1, Tyson v Lewis, Lewis v Klitshco, De La Hoya v Trinidad, Leonard v Duran 1 & 2, Hopkins v Jones 2, Pacquiao v De La Hoya, Pacquiao v Hatton, and etc. etc. If anybody thinks that Floyd demands are reasonable and normal do NOT know the history of boxing and how big fights are made, even HBO and Showtime came together for Tyson v Lewis... What's next fighters get to pick the other fighters trainer??? De La Hoya never had a problem working with Don King or Top Rank to make the fights he wanted because he actually wanted to fight... Even though I want to see the fight, Manny would be setting a bad precedent for the sport if he bends to every demand Mayweather makes... Its hard to think a guy that call himself Money would turn down an opportunity to make the most money because of some Bitc$ type of stuff, only women let emotions get in the way of making money not men... But, then again real men don't beat on women so it fits Flo Jo's style...
Folks on here say Floyd is scared to fight Manny. They say Shotime made Floyd fight Canelo. So if Shotime made Floyd fight Canelo and now the VP of Shotime says Floyd will fight Manny anytime and anywhere but Bob Arum can't be involved. How is Floyd ducking or is in fear of Manny? If you believe Shotime forced the Canelo fight (as many Pac fans have posted here) and believe Shotime tells Floyd who he must fight, how can you truthfully blame Floyd for this fight not happening when the people whom you say tells Floyd who he must fight says different? Now one of Manny's advisors is calling for Arum to step aside so the fight can happen and you fools still say Floyd is making excuses and ducking Manny. Even when you are presented with concrete proof you still hold on to these beliefs. How ****** can you be?
People say Manny is too loyal or naïve, that may be somewhat true but this Tax situation has been a wake up call. This fight will happen if Arum is out of the picture because if it does not (once Arum is out of the picture) then Shaffer, Epinoza, Shotime, GBP, and TMT lose all credibility in the public eye and a Ton of Money long term. They would be forced to make the fight unless Manny has a sudden change of mind does not want to (under current financial circumstances there is no way he would change his mind).
I tried to get the answer to this for weeks. Don't waste your breath.

On the same phone conversation, Manny countered with 50/50 and you can have whatever you want, which means MGM Grand since Floyd has it booked.

So if I'm reading you correctly, Manny should not leave Top Rank to fight Floyd, Because it sets a bad precedent for the sport? So my question to you is, if PAC is ok with Arum forcing fighters to sign multi fight deals with Top Rank in order to secure a fight with Manny, why is it wrong for Mayweather to request that PAC fight without Arum's involvement? Did everyone forget the dirty break up between DLH, Hopkins and Mosley? So I guess it was ok for Mosley to relinquish his minority partnership with Golden Boy, because Arum would not give him the fight unless he signed with Top Rank. While in the contract Mosley signed with GBP, he agreed to relinquish his partnership/stock for $1.00, if he signed with another promotional company. That's 1 dollar by the way. So after Pac's fights against DLH and Ricky Hatton, how many fighters have been promoted by an entity other then Top Rank? How many we're forced to sign with Top Rank? So what's fair for Manny and Arum, is not fair for Floyd? If you think Floyd is the one that's difficult to negotiate with, please research the Ricky Hatton and PAC negotiations. Both parties share in the blame, but based on all available evidence it would seem that Arum and PAC deserve more blame.
