Very glad the hypejobs Canelo (although i got caught up the prefight hype vs may) , matthyse and recently broner have all been exposed.
Goldenboy was trying to give these guys the keys to the throme when theyve not had that ONE sensational win that made you say WOW against a great opponent.
You can say now GGG is next on the hype as HBO is hping him up, i will get his respect when he beats Ward, or martinez, etc. hes beastij but needs that ONE standout win like mayweather, pacquiao, marquez, martinez, bhop hvae gotten already

I hate the term "hype-job". Jokers on here say that about every fighter. If nobody put themselves on the line to get in the ring and entertain boxing fans, there would be no boxing, which is great. Then little minds constantly lay down this "hype-job" crap, which is disrespectful.

The wording perhaps gives it a negative slant to most of these fighters, 'most-hyped' or 'over-hyped' or 'over-rated' would have been better I suppose. Anyway, I said before, I created this thread as more of a bit of fun, not 100% serious. It came from an argument between two guys on another thread, 1 saying Kovalev was a hype job and the other saying Bradley was - someone challenged the other to make a thread to see this, so I just took the baton and made it, with some quick names off the top off my head.

Yes, Broner for sure would have been better than for example Rigondeaux, but I tried to keep it to undefeated fighters or if defeated those who are still tipped for big p4p feats in the future like Canelo. Mattyhsse was a hype job of sorts, and Garcia beat him, along with Khan...who may fight Mayweather next, and I don't think Garcia is particularly overated, he's not too high p4p, just known as a good, solid fighter.
