THE fighter they call the 'Russian Rocky' aims to lock horns with his old sparring partner Manny Pacquiao in April. Ruslan Provodnikov has had a storming rise through the rankings and claimed the WBO light welterweight title in October.

He beat Mike Alvarado in Colorado and is now hoping to challenge eightdivision world champion Pacquiao.

You bring up an interesting point. Thing is, Provo never leaves his balls at home. He comes from a little tribe of monsters, the guy is the real deal.

Rios was talking the other day about how he regrets going in with a different gameplan and should've fought like he always does EVEN THOUGH he probably would have been KOd... which I liked to hear because he was one of my favorite fighters before the Pac fight.

I honestly believe this will be a good fight (for however long it lasts). I don't see this as the Rios vs Pac fight all over again. Provo has better power and he's much better at cutting off the ring than Rios.

I'd rather see Pac vs Bradley 2, but this will do just fine
