what a joke fight and i lose respect for provodnikov if he takes this. Money hungry *****. The guy is already making big pay days and will continue to do so. He is going to lose his trainer who is a perfect fit for him over 2-3 million when he can probably already make close to 1 million in his next fight without pacquioa. Once pacquiao whoops his ass his stock drops and hes out the trainer that is the perfect fit for him. Idiot

People will see you can't handle elite levels. True or not, you could delay it, beat some more credible opponents, make more money then you will still have the fight being from Top Rank. You annihilate every other WW out there not named Manny so why hurry?

pac could tear through provo if he can avoid ruslan landing a huge bomb. i could then see pac having another 2-3 fights at the top level

Not a fan of this fight. First off, they're friends. I know they're pros and once they get in the ring they'll be trying to take each other's heads off but still. I like some animosity. Or at least dudes who ain't freaking homeboys. I also like both fighters, too. And again, are they really gonna try to put this on PPV? I agree that it's a better fight than Pac/Rios but the numbers will do even worse. Rios might have even helped sell the MP fight a little bit with his vulgar abrasiveness and brashness. Ruslan? Lmao, nobody outside of hardcore boxing fans have any clue that he even exists.

              Fight makes no sense.

What are you talking about? You aren't even thinking straight. He's not going to see 1 million his next fight unless he's up against Brandon Rios, or Bradley. And even then, a Rios fight is still there if he loses to Pacquaio. If he fights and loses to Rios or anyone else at Top Rank though, he can forget about Pacquaio for good.

If a Pacquaio fight is offered, he'd be a fool not to take it. And Roach will still train him against another fight, if he loses. Roach will to reap the fruits of his labor as his trainer.

he's had some exposure, two HBO fights with bradley and alvarado.

it would sell more than pac/rios. progress, i guess lol. if pac tears through provo i want him to fight sooner. he should then fight 3 times next year. i know its unlikely... but he's on the last chapter of his career. let's not waste any time.

for me, Pacquiao will absolutely shred provo, batter him for however long it lasts. the fight won't be competitive, the only other outcome that's possible is ruslan by KO if he lands a big bomb. people act as if ruslan has this deceptive power that nobody can see coming. it's like no, ruslan's only game is to rush at you and throw heavy leather. mike alvarado went 10 rds with him, for god sakes.

It wont sell more than Pac/Rios. A lot of people bought the card to see how Pacquiao would bounce back. Same reason why Mayweather/Guerrero did so well, people wanted to know how Mayweather would come back after looking somewhat vulnerable vs Cotto and spending a couple months in jail. Provodnikov fight would boost very little interest.

how much better do you see the bradley fight selling? wouldn't you be interested in the fight and watch it? isn't that all that really matters. boxing fans including myself have been guilty of this. we worry too much about how many people watch/how it "Sells". let's just watch the fights we want to watch and enjoy them. i find that you get nowhere worrying how a fight/fighter sells, they will be fine. people know what they are doing these are professionals.
