I agree that he has talent, but when you have such a big void above the shoulders you can have all the talents of the world, that won't make you great or even very good.

I might be wrong, but I see Broner has a fighter on whom others fighters will feast on "a la Berto", until his name means pretty much nothing.

Being able to make lower weight has been an advantage many fighters have used. ODH and Nonito are 2 that come to mind-they could make the lower weight comfortably then rehydrate and the size advantage would help. If Broner does that-so be it.

But he said he is staying at ww-so perhaps he will fight Maidana again and we will see.

He lost to a bigger, more experienced fighter. Big deal!

you might be right. but if he had looked better against paulie and maidana he may have gotten the fight in Spet 2014.

Broner cost himself so much by failing to capitalize on the opportunities he got. Hopefully, he cuts out gaining 25-50lbs between fights andgets serious.

I thought his base was going to be a key attribute at ww, but he was pushed off it often. I guess he did look more sturdy once he got his feet back under him after being hurt early, but still.. he looked in over his head... it's gonna be a tough adjustment for the next 2-3 fights if he stays at WW
I say broner was juiced and he was pushing maidana all over the ring. try a new pair of glasses lol

He should really count himself lucky that he came through the maidana fight without being knocked out and be glad that he still has opportunities like the offer from Floyd to fight on his undercard and rebuild at 140.

I guess he dosen't see it that way and seems to believe he can still make it on his own.

there is no respect earned. he cannot make a lower weight being way to heavy in between fights

Yes, Broner is getting a lot of chances but thats because he and Canelo will be pushed hard by GBP as their future stars.

I am not a big broner fan but i like his hubris. He thinks highly of himself which I dont mind. I just don't think the Duran/Hatton in between fights lifestyle model is what he should be copying.

Dude loves the spotlight-only problem is the spotlight illuminates the good and the bad equally.

I guess almost infinite self belief is what is needed to make it at that level. Still i can't stand how classless he acts against his opponents even after the fight is over.

Other fighters had given bad images of boxing in the past, but I think Borner brings it at an even lower level. It's OK to be flashy, but there is a certain line you don't want to cross. Broner has crossed it many times already. He's the perfect definition of a loose cannon.
