Maybe you could give Andrade a couple rounds, but Bute was in full control until he gassed out at the end and almost got KOed in the last round.

The rematch was even more lop-sided when he annihilated Andrade in 4 rounds.

His only loss came to Carl Froch, and that was a very bad fight for him cause he got hurt early and just could not recover. He did well in rounds 1 and 2, but then got badly hurt in the 3rd, lost his legs and lost next 2 rounds. As I've said his recovery skills are very poor. So if Pascal can catch him and hurt him early he will have a great chance to win.
I agree 100% but in boxing one punch changes fites and then no one cares how you were schooling the guy. That 10 count that ref robbed Andrade over shouldve been Bute's first loss regardless of how well he did in the rematch.

His only loss came to Froch cuz that was the only time he took a "risk" fiting a true champion. Dude passed out on a rematch and has never ever called out a top 168 pounder "ever". For a guy who is regarded so highly just go on Boxrec to see the sad level of competition he defended his belt against.

Also he turned down super six as proven by a BoxingScene article i posted earlier

He did beat Sakio Bika who is a current 168 champ. I don't know what the reffing was like in that fight mind.

Bika was 28 then so it means even more so credit where its due. That was for #1 spot and then won a title beating a no hoper which is not his fault as he had the IBF belt. Then every fite was a bum smashing spree. I cant even remember him calling out a top SMW ever and talked as if hes above the eventual SuperSix winner lol yeh rite

Dude you would not believe what the ref pulled in round 12 last 10 seconds look it up

50/50 fight IMO. Pascal has terrible stamina and Bute is chinny.

Will Bute's power carry up to 175? Will his chin withstand the bombs of a true light heavyweight?

Those are the questions I have going into this fight. Looking forward to seeing them answered one way or another come January 18.

Pascal needs to come with his war face on, pressure this guy from the start and keep it going like Froch did. If he doesn't do that but stands off early and lets Bute find a rhythm, it'll be hard for Jean. Once he's in the groove Bute is a very awkward and effective fighter and people might be writing him off too quick after that Nottingham mauling.

No. Bute was not invited in the Super Six. They only kept him busy in order to fight the winner of the Super Six. But after the tournament ended, Ward said he will not fight Bute.
