Here is some interesting points. First CBS is getting fights from Haymon and second, Chavez Jr. is going to fight under Haymon. Top Rank was claiming that Chavez Jr. still owed them one more fight. Perhaps Haymon wanted dates on CBS/Showtime and Top Rank had to drop the lawsuit on Chavez Jr in order for the fight to happen. Just like another poster said earlier they wanted to announce the CBS/Showtime deal first.
