Again, widely severely overstates things. On NSB, yes he is. I haven't seen him given that distinction anywhere else. Just asking you be more realistic.

But his rise from nothing is a great accomplishment that deserves to be celebrated.

I don't know dude. I hoped he used the interview last night to say something like-" go to shots in an hour or Tuesday". Something definitive. They keep saying it's almost done or close. All that really means is contract isn't signed, it's just a nice way of saying it.

I get Floyd is trying to get more downloads, which means more in his pockets. I get the media is keeping with the updates to keep people checking their Twitter accounts.

Just announce it already. You can't really milk any more out of this.

Styles make fights. If Pacquiao is somehow able to learn how to cut the ring off and apply a mauling aggressive tactic against Floyd like Maidana, Hatton, Cotto, etc, did, then I'd bet on him to beat Floyd, but he's simply not that type of fighter. It's true Floyd isn't the same athlete in his late 30's as he once was in his early to late 20's, but you can say the same about Manny. Floyd doesn't need to match Pacquiao speed for speed, he'll just need to anticipate Manny's attack, lure him to make mistakes, and time him him.

He'll smother Manny's attack by staying close to him at times. Manny needs space to operate effectively just like Floyd does, but the difference between them is, Floyd is still comfortable even when he has no space to set up his offense, he knows how to punching space and beats his opponents at their own game. Manny can be beaten in more than just one way.


The ideal way to fight him is to mix up your offense and fight smart(smother his offset, counter him before he sets up his best punches, etc). You can't go in there thinking you'll knock him out by swinging wild punches and not setting up anything effective like, Bradley did. You can't fight him by moving all the time because you won't be able to sit down on your punches and set up anything effective. You'll just end smothering your own offense by constantly moving like, Algeiri did.


Ineffective lateral and body movements are pointless. Bradley and Algeiri did a lot of unnecessary exaggerated body/lateral movements against Manny that caused them more harm than good.


Floyd isn't going to jump the gun and fight like a novice. Floyd's style is obviously not pleasing to a lot of fans, but it's highly effective and he doesn't waste anything in the ring. He doesn't throw punches just to hope that two-three land. He likes to set up his offense and want to make sure that every punches he throws land. It's why he usually looks quick/fast when he throws one punch, but looks a bit slower when he throws 3-4 punches because he wants to make sure he connects every punch at the intended target areas.


Erroll Spence doesn't look very fast, but he knows where to place his punches and is an accurate effective puncher. This is something that Floyd does so well.


I expect Manny to hit Floyd enough to make it a competitive bout and i wouldn't be surprised if he were to buckled him or drop him, but if he doesn't score a quick KO, then i expect a UD clinic in favor of, Floyd. Manny's offense can be neutralize and Floyd damn sure knows how to shut down his opponent's bread and butter offense.
