It can't be a coincidence that Canelo's May 2nd fight is still not listed on HBO's upcoming boxing schedule.

I've been preparing to find out during the gay ass SuperBowl and I'm pretty sure that's when we'll know one way or the other.
I can't see it being anything other than the Pacquiao fight. The backlash would be too severe.

You can look at it two ways. Usually when fights get announced, you always see all the usual details, scheduled date, sponsors, where those fights will take place, and the TV network/s that those fights will be on. Oscar made the announcement last Friday and we both knows Canelo is obsessed with the May 2nd date and is willing go head-to-head with Floyd for it. Why haven't they sorted out the details and reveal when it will happen on HBO?
I think the answer is crystal clear. HBO is trying to secure a bigger fight for that date. Again, it's a great sign. If HBO add it on its calendar for the year later this week for the May 2nd date, then it's safe to say Mayweather- Pacquiao won't happen, but as long Canelo-Kirkland is still not a safe bet to take place on May 2nd, then it's a great sign that HBO has bigger fish to fry.Last edited by Carpe Diem; 01-28-2015, 01:45 AM.
