Nowhere to be found...It amazes me sometime how people on here sit around calling boxers with more achievements hypejobs but claiming this kid was not one himself..well there went that whole shhh.
I'm one of those legit fans and I was right the whole time, as proven in the main thread.

The author did his research. He was just thinking one thing and typing another. I missed it on my proofread, and we've since fixed it.

I think he's smart in a way though because he learnt from Floyd that acting like a d*ck gets people to watch you and makes you money. The way he's acting he's clearly trying to make a whole lot more money than Floyd...

I was watching Maidana the whole time during this fight and he's really smart the way he feints and disguises his big shots and switches from the body to the head. He's a big puncher but he knows how to land those shots too. I think people underrate him because to the uneducated eye it can look like he is just flailing away. He was doing well to avoid a lot of Broner's punches too. I think Maidana is just improving each fight now.

I'd love someone to put up a GIF of Broner's delayed reaction to the head butt. One of the most embarrassing things I have seen.
Acting like a d1ck might get Broner some attention, which in turn helps make money as fans tune in to see him lose (or win). Funny thing is once he's exposed as he was Saturday night, fewer of either group may be willing to pay to see him fight. If Broner faces another tough welterweight and loses, he's all but done as a PPV draw. Interest in him will drop precipitously. Being a d1ck may make a fighter some money, but winning fights against real competition is what KEEPS making him money. Being a d1ck is unecessary.

Good grief. Watch the replay, man. His defense was god-awful in every round of the fight. He can act like Floyd all day long out of the ring, but that doesn't mean he can fight like the man. The saddest thing about this loss for AB is that he actually got out-boxed for most of the rounds by a guy who NOBODY thinks is a good boxer. Broner should be happy about his chin because EVERYTHING else was dog****.

pretty much! all the Floyd comparisions make it look worse but even if there was no comparisions he still looked like crap and couldn't avoid being hit! many times he would land a punch as maidana is landing his own!

Do you not think spending most of the fight on ***** st affected his defense?

              Outboxed??? OK

Watch it again, hk. You act as though Maidana landed a lucky early punch and that was the story for the rest of the night. Maidana walked him down, controlled the distance for most of the fight and landed more than a hundred more punches on AB. Many of those punches were horribly telegraphed and had no business landing on a professional fighter, much less a supposed elite professional fighter. AB looked like an MMA fighter trying to slip punches.

From where I'm sitting. The only thing that happen Sat was that AB was caught completely offguard by the way Chino jumped on his ass outta the gate. He got caught and hurt early. Came into the 2nd round shakey and got dropped. And never recovered. From there, he basically got beat up by a bigger stroger fight. Even when AB had success, all it took was one or two bombs from Chino, and he was right back on ***** st. I think everyone is overevaluating what took place. Chino didn't even look that good. He was sloppy for most of the fight. He got tired. His only saving grace is that he had a guy in front of him that couldn't hurt him. And one that he could hurt damn near every time he touched him. And also had a guy in front of him that fought on shakey legs from the 2nd round on.

I watched it again about an hour ago. And walked away feeling like it wasn't as bad as I thought Sat night. AB got his ass kicked. And I would pick him to get his ass kicked in a rematch. But from a technical standpoint, I think AB was fine. He's a good boxer. He's good defensively. He's just not good enough to have a lotta success against bigger, stronger guys. I would be somewhat interested to see what would happen in a rematch if he doesn't sustain that amount of punishment early. There were times in the middle rounds where he had success. But unfortunately for him, every time Chino touched him, it rocked him.and a lotta the punches Chino landed was when AB was on ***** st just trying to survive. And late, Chino was dawg ass tired. But AB was so beaten up he couldn't capitolize on it. And when he tried, Chino would land something big. And AB was right back insurvival mode. If I had any confidence that AB could hurt Chino, I'd pick him to win a rematch. But the fact is, he can't. And because of that, he'd have to be almost be defensively perfect to win. And he's not good enough defensively to do that. That said, it doesn't make him a bad defensive fight. Just means he isn't elite. And I'll stick to my original guns. If AB was god awful defensively, he never sees the middle rounds.
