Boris Grinberg, the manager of heavyweight Magomed Abdusalamov (18-1, 18KOs), says his boxer is no longer in a medically induced coma and has been disconnected from life support.
Following a vicious fight with Mike Perez on November 2nd at New York's Madison Square Garden, Magomed suffered a blood clot in his brain and underwent surgery. He was placed in a medically induced coma to reduce the swelling on his brain. At one point doctors were not sure if Magomed was going to live or ever be stable enough to come out of the coma.
