Just try to open an account anywhere on the globe, they want certified documentation from back to before you were born. In many countries just a simple notary stamp can cost hundreds of dollars. They doll it up with ribbons and seals, but it's just window dressing. The same notarisation in Canada or US would cost $10-20 or maybe nothing. It's only a stamp by a seal. This was ostensibly to control what they called "money-laundering". Well I've seen acknowledged experts write that the money-laundering, illegal as it was, is peanuts beside the crashing and chaos caused by the draconian new US banking laws which they've imposed on every country in the world at the most enormous costs to all.Last edited by The Raw Dog; 11-26-2013, 06:45 PM.

The whole situation is fu*#ed up. How can Manny only have 22k in his bank acct. Every year you hear about Bob fronting him cash. The quote in the LA times piece " how can he be desperate I'm holding his 18 million dollar cheque. Why is the fight over and your still holding the cheque. You and Koncz are his advisors teach him some basic money managing skills you fu^*in parasites. But they have literally a Pimp philosophy buy her some clothes, cars , houses but no doe. Keep him indebted to you do you can get more $ off his work.
It's not surprising he's came from dirt poor beginnings and has never been taught the value of $. And I'm sure the people surrounding him weren't in any hurry to teach him. Plus his extravagant spending habits this is bound to happen and will probably continue to happen.
And for all the posters making exuses for their personal deity come on man face some facts. Mannys is a legend in the ring a great humanitarian these can't be disputed but on the finance sense he is getting straight ****d with no Vaseline. Pimped like a fu*^in Hoe on the corner.
If he had any sense he'd cut tied with Top Rank/ Koncz / Religious affiliates and start his own and if he didn't have that hustle in him then sign to Haymon seriously at least you know your going to get paid.

I agree. And it's getting harder and harder to open up accounts abroad period. There's so many rules now, and other countries straight up will reject you from opening an account. Some of the few good places that will let you open an account (like Singapore), want you to be present in person when you open it. So that adds more to the cost of opening one. It sucks.
And if the taxes weren't so ridiculous and the interest rates not ****** low, not as many people would look to hold their money abroad. The U.S. government is just backwards.

If Arum gave Pacquaio an advance, then technically that check will not be for $18 million! Arum will deduct the advance he already gave him earlier this year, from the check. And who knows how much that check is worth?! It all depends on how much the advance was. SMH

I think this is a total misunderstanding. This will probably get fixed soon with so many people riding the bandwagon all over the world including IRS and BIR boxing fans. Just hope nobody gets killed.Last edited by ThunderWolf; 11-26-2013, 07:28 PM.

Most of you dumb ****s dont know how to file your own taxes and you come here to talk ish about Pac. Filling your income taxes are dummy proof, but most of you pay an accountant. Seriously, if you dont know sht about taxes, business and finance, stay away from it.
The promoter or the network is obligated to withheld the taxes from the paycheck. It works the same way it does on your regular job. If the promoter or network dont pay IRS they are the one facing fines. Those big company have Big 4 accounting firms doing their taxes and auditing their financial statements. They are not stealing that money from Manny or any other fighter.
This is an obvious attack from his political opposition. Floydiots, are not capable to rationalize any and will try to mock Pac for anything. I thought it was Ptard the worst fan base, but the Floyd fanboys are bad. They actually think Floyd takes the $40M without any tax deduction. That is how brilliant that fan base is.

I'm so tempted to pull threads from 3-4 years ago just so we can laugh at what words Pac fans used in describing tax evaders at the time

Manny can always appear on Dancing With The Stars if he is hard pressed for cash
Maybe Jinkiee can join the TMT girls, I'm sure Floyd will pay her a good wage amongst other things, if u know what mean
I remember not to long ago on here people were arguing how Floyd will go broke, and how Pac man will be rich forever, oh look what has happened now.
Pac man 25k to his name, borrowing money from Arum to give to charity
Pac man aka the dirty Tax Evader

With all the money Pac has earned there is no way he should be needing advances at this point in his career.
I hope it's not true because I hate when fighters end up broke. Been saying for years that Floyd should get a competent money manager to handle his dough.
