READ SLOWLY THIS TIME
You sound hurt. Did i hurt your feeling with a simple question you couldnt respond to. You deflect and attempt to redirect. WHY WOULD SOMEONE CLEAN AVOID A DRUG TEST? FOR A RECORD PAYDAY!
Ever heard of Occam's razor. Sorry that may be over your head. Like the prior question was.
“Sometimes people hold a core belief that is very strong. When they are
presented with evidence that works against that belief, the new
evidence cannot be accepted. It would create a feeling that is
extremely uncomfortable, called cognitive dissonance. And because it
is so important to protect the core belief, they will rationalize,
ignore and even deny anything that doesn't fit in with the core belief.” Franz Fannon
Now run along youngin, grown folks are trying to have a conversation.
Or just stfu when grown folks are talking.
lmao

This happened to many fighters who got their Wins taken away from getting caught. And why would Pacquiao look like a punk and go with all of Floyd's demands, when Pacquiao was the biggest star at the time? And also, what if you were good at arm wrestling and defeated everyone, and I came up to you, and challenged you but first you had to get tested...how would you feel? It takes more than just power to win in boxing if he did took steroids. Pacquiao had the foot work, some defense, chin, speed, and stamina.
You cant "pray for Magomed and his family", but confidently stand up and say that fighter should go through with a fight (against a fighter that he suspects is dirty), then wait til fight's over and ask for testing.
Had the ref, Magomed's corner, or the ring doctors been proactive enough to stop the fight (regardless of whether he was "fighting back" or not), then he wouldn't be in such a serious condition (as we speak).
I'm not giving Floyd an "out" here, but being proactive, rather than reactive, makes a huge difference.
PS: This fight will NEVER happen!

the answer is as simple as you and your response.
Floyd has also failed 3 drug tests since coming back, but hey, we wont talk about that.

I know this is old news, but it still seriously irritates me how Manny Pacquiao completely got a pass from the US media for refusing to take random blood testing in 2009.
The su****ion was there. No one, and I mean no one in the 100+ years of boxing had ever gone up that many division and kept their power and speed like Pacquiao did. Not Roberto Duran, Chavez, Trinidad, Tommy Hearns, etc. They all lost a little something when they moved up in weight. That was enough to cause some su****ion considering the era we're in in sports today were when ever something extra ordinary was happening it was a result of cheating.
Pacquiao had a chance to prove everyone wrong. All he had to do was agree to random blood testing and he declined. He throw all kinds of lame excuses. Remember the 30 days, then 24, then 14 excuses? This was so pathetic.
The boxing media, should have been all over him for refusing to take the test, yet instead they focused on Floyd. They gave Pacquiao a HUGE PASS for this just like baseball did with Mcguire and Sosa in 98. It was pathetic and embarrassing. I'm sure just like baseball writers now, look back at that with embarrassment, so to will these boxing writers.

But over the course of all the negotiation I blame all the egos on both sides of the fence and how un business-like all parties handled the situation like Arum's countdown clock and Floyd's calling Pac on the phone and trying to negotiate without Arum and the percentages which should have been determined by Accountants to figure out who earns what based on past revenue instead of "I'll give you this much and take it or leave it" approach by Floyd which is not a true negotiation but more like Floyd is the one who has all the say so. But now add the layer that we all know stops everything and that is Arum because without Arum, Pac would have accepted the fight over the phone. Damn, I have never wished senility on anyone but Arum deserves senility. Pac should have broken free from Arum long ago, he is the greatest block because Pac did agree to the tests and that is why Floyd called him but Arum is the major block.Last edited by richardt; 11-12-2013, 11:48 AM.
