Mayweather has hand picked his opposition carefully after he was forced to fight DLH pretty much (back then he wasn't in the position to choose and in order to get there he needed to fight DLH - past his prime too). Once he managed to slip by Oscar with a SPLIT decision, he made sure to select the right opponents at the right time. He waited like 6 years to make the Cotto fight (which was hot at that time and he retired) and still doesn't think it is right to face Pacquiao.
