He did what was expected of him. Vic did as well but went out fighting. I have to go back and rematch it as I was DJing for a client that (lucky me) had it on.

One of the first times Donut-Air looked bad was vs Vazquez Jr... in fact I had him losing that fight. Then Rigo took some more air outta his tires, and then tonight we see a fighter who barely got by with the big punch. He needs to get it together or get outta the sport.

            Rigo really ****d Donaire mentally.

I was kind of bummed for Vic, one mistake cost him a fight he was easily winning.

Yes, I can understand that Darchinyan is a southpaw but at the same time he is also a smaller, older, slower and flat-footed opponent with a crowd pleasing style. That is why he was hand picked for Donaire in the first place; As opposed to Rigondeaux whom also is a southpaw but is the complete polar opposite.

He looked below okay but I don't think he looked that bad. Definitely not good, though.

Darchinyan cannot fight backing up. Donaire turned the heat up and ended it. Donaire needs to mentally focus because he did not look himself tonight.
You're actually indirectly agreeing with me. The thing is Donaire already had been quietly landing big shots all fight but Vic wasnt letting him capitalize. He was throwing Donaire off rhythm by making him reset (by not getting overly reckless OR by smothering him). Vic got too brave and landed that big upper, but instead of taking that step back like he had been doing he stayed in, tried to measure him for another hard shot from mid range all while giving Nonito prime real estate. Donaire is a stud he'll take that error all day. Vic is TOO confident for his own good. Vic was landing big time shots because he was keeping Donaire from setting up shop to throw with everything. Look at where Vic put his feet and angled his upper body after the skirmish. He gave Donaire the dominant footing. Donaire's positioning was so dominant he could have avoided the shot Vic was trying to measure him with lol...except he's better and faster than that and cranked that bomb out.
