Now Arum still kinds of needs Manny as he is still Arum's best cash producer/door opener but Manny has fallen off a bit and is much closer to the end of the road so Arum would likely be much less accommodating.
I think so too but back then this was new to him. I don't even think he knew what kinda power he had. Or how big his own following was worldwide.

Arum definitely needs him. His power at the negotiating table only lost a little power if we're talking Floyd. Not anyone else

Just a shame either way you look at it

Yea, I would just think that ship has sailed because if he didn't do it when he really could have pushed the issue why do it now when Arum would be more willing to push back.

Arum did alright for him but he could have made Arum do a lot more for him and still been loyal to him in the end.

Now, it's all about network appearances. Times have changed.

If he's pulling in numbers who gives a **** how many times he's been on the network.

You see it as Ruslan lost 8 rounds to Bradley and I see it as he got robbed of 3 KDs and beat the **** of an "elite" guy who already Pacquiao.

I see it as he lost the fight clearly despite winning his rounds more impressively, getting soundly out boxed in most of the fight. Plus Bradley is sloppy and can get caught, Provodnikov basically did what Holt did to Bradley except with a bit more aggression involved.

Already what lost to Manny clearly and almost got knocked out by Holt? Bradley is good but he is not THAT good that losing to him clearly mints someone.

Also I don't care if Manny fight Provodnikov or not, I am not that worried about it because Manny is past the stage where I really care plus he really isn't that highly rated so he can make his bones however he wants.

That doesn't change that what you just said was fucking ******.

It is because mine aligns with the reality of the situation.

The difference between my opinion and your's is I am telling you how it is and you are talking about how it might have been

Besides Bradley and Marquez ruslan is the only fighter PAC hasn't fought aside from sparring but the thing is ruslan is train by roach also.
Recycled fights do NOT equal bad fights. Marquez and Bradley or 2 of the top 4 welterweights on the planet. Each man also represents a personal milestone for Pacquiao, one is the only man to stop Pacquiao in a decade and the other arguably lost the first fight but has since come on leaps and bounds.

All great fights need a sense of context and story, Bradley and Marquez provide that. The only welterweight better than them is Mayweather and that fight will not happen next year. Who else is there? In terms of styles and recent accomplishments, Provodnikov is better than Guerrero, Thurman, Berto, Khan, Brook and Broner. Would you rather Pacquiao fight those other mugs or a legitimate, hard punching threat?

Pacquiao has beeon on such a destructive run pre-Bradley that he effectively cleared out the division and now all that's left are up and comers or B level opponents. Mayweather has done the same on a slightly lower level. Thus, the only real fight that makes sense at welterweight is Pac/Mayweather but it just can't happen now.

It would be something spectacular to see Pacquiao move up in weight and possibly obliterate a Canelo/Trout/Lara/Martinez level of opposition but I believe that Pacquiao is as big as he can be at 147. So the only non-Mayweather fights that make sense are with Bradley and/or Marquez and to a lesser extent the red hot Provodnikov.

Quality stuff man, No doubt Bradley is the most qualified welter, and JMM Pac's toughest matchup, Floyd excluded. These jacka$$es would rather watch Pac vs Paulie/Judah than the awesome Pac JMM 5. That's who you're dealing with.
