Actually...he fought and ko'd an undefeated Hatton, then came back off of a near 2 year lay-off and outclassed Marquez, then everyone wanted him to fight Shane, and he outclassed him as well. All 3 of them were p4p and well ranked.

Yes Hatton and SSM were the only guys considered p4p fighters that Floyd has ever fought one after the other but look at the time span he needed to do it! JMM was a p4p fighter 2 divsions lower so we don't need to mention that as a credible opponent for Floyd. SSM wasn't a p4p fighter, beating Margarito don't make you one, and that is solely the basis 5 loss SSM was considered one
