When is the last time Floyd was in an exciting fight?

When is the last time you watched a Floyd Mayweather fight, on PPV or not, and felt like you got your money's worth?

I think Cotto was a pretty good scrap, other than that, which fight do you think?

Canelo. I was tense the whole time. Every high level fight is exciting for me just based on the fact how skilled these guys are.

I tend to enjoy watching Mayweather fight more than say Pacquiao. For some reason I couldn't get into the Canelo fight. That was his most boring since Baldomir IMO and the performance has been severely overrated ever since.

Ortiz was warming up into a nice fight before it prematurely ended.

I didn't really get into it either. I appreciate his skills, but wouldn't have paid money to watch it. I would have for Garcia-Matthysse though.

I think maybe the Hatton fight is the last time I was thrilled seeing him fight? I like him, but he doesn't thrill me.

The Gatti fight was a good scrap, and yes, Ortiz. It shaped up nicely.

I get what I expect from floyd. My frustration is fighters like canelo and ghost that decide its better to lose by UD than to keep throwing and getting tagged and possibly stopped.

Floyd's fights aren't boring so much as they are anti climatic. Usually, by round 8 or 9 the ending is confirmed.

Smh. So you actually take away the LAST time by pointing out that the Cotto fight (2012) was pretty exciting.

I also thought the Victor Ortiz (2011) AND Shane Mosley (2010) fights had definite moments of excitement but, the last fight that was up there from beginning to end was the Hatton fight (2007).

Once his opponents start spending a lot of time backpedaling, Mayweather's fights start to lack the drama many would classify as "exciting" because all the fantasy goes out the window and everyone knows that this opponent isn't "the one".

The Gatti fight was an absolute massacre and I loved every minute of it. That was the last time Floyd really let his hands go. He did it at stages against Hatton and looked really good then too.

If you are frustrated with guys that decide its better to lose by UD...it's equally fair to be frustrated that Floyd doesnt go for the kill and get those guys out of there. It is what it is but he is also a factor.
