Chavez having skill is laughable. He has lost every major fight he has been in and been given nothing but gifts, not to mention the ridiculous weight advantage. Don't you all remember how close/controversial the following fights were:

    Carlos Molina
    Matt Vanda
    Sebastian Zbik
    Brian Vera
    Sergio Martinez (lost)

This is nothing new for him. He is lucky his last name is Chavez. He is a disgrace to all Mexican fighters and pathetic.

Chavez Jr is no longer a middleweight. His weight class is whatever his dumb ass weighs on the day of the weigh in.

Can't blame Martinez here. His career has been based on earning it the hard way, not having a thing handed to him. Chavez just doesn't seem to care at times. I would prefer Vera get the chance, and I actually think that's a great comeback fight for ***y Sergio.

I won't say Jr has beaten no one, he has beaten 2-3 top ten MWs but he obviously hasn't beaten anyone elite.
I saw Vera easily dominate Junior. I also will not give a fighter a round when he loses 90% of it and than only lands a couple of thudding shots that sting his opponent for 2 seconds. I also have to ask how can any fighter be in the top ten and not be elite? But let us go ahead and look at his opponents.

I assume you were referring to Zbik, Rubio and Lee. Lets start with Zbik. The only time he has fought outside of Germany is when he fought Junior. And everyone knows he was set up as an easy match for Junior to get his title. And still the fighter that has no power and who got dominated by Sturm still did enough that many, to include myself, thought he did enough to get the nod over Junior. Who is next? Rubio.

I distinctly remember when Rubio fought Pavlik back in 2009 that many fans thought that he was a joke of an opponent at the time. And he was even ranked in the top ten by the Ring. But, many still thought Pavlik was padding his record by fighting him. But yet, three years after the Pavlik fight Rubio somehow magically becomes a legit top ten fighter on Chavez's record. How does that make any sense?

In fairness to Rubio he was once again ranked by the Ring. But how did he get there? He got ranked by stopping one of the most overrated fighters to ever come out of Canada in David Lamieux. Now don't get me wrong Lemieux was ranked by the Ring. But honestly it was like for one week that he was ranked. Who is left? Andy Lee.

I don't no why Andy gets so much praise I honestly see nothing special about him. And between Lee, Rubio and Zbik how many top ten or even close to elite fighter have they beaten in their 129 combined fights? That would none in my opinion. So, who else has Junior fought? Oh, that is right Sergio.

I will go ahead and say it I believe Sergio is highly overrated in his own right. And why? He was even going into the last third of the fight with the one dimensional Pavlik and if The Ghost wasn't cut who knows how that would have turned out. He knocked out one of the most overrated fighters I have ever seen in my lifetime in Paul Williams and than struggles with a couple of British fighters. He then dominates a much bigger and stronger fighter in Junior. And why? Because Chavez is highly overrated and gets 5hit handed to him on a silver platter and still screws it up. I will put it another way. Junior is nowhere near elite or even remotely close to being good enough to be lazy. One last point or maybe two.

Junior is fighting and beating fighters that are hovering around the top ten. He seems to get plenty of credit for it by many fans regardless of how questionable the decisions may have been. This makes me really think of one other fighter. I remember when Bute was fighting the same level of fighters and guess what? He was dominating them and he still got crucified for it. And yet somehow Junior somehow gets a pass by his fans when he does it. If you haven't figured it out yet I am far from impressed with the son of the Mexican legend!

LOL!!! It doesn't get any more elite than Juan Manual Marquez. And he was happy to play weight games with Floyd for 600k. Everybody has a price.

There is no comparing the circus act that Chavez is to Floyd being two pounds over at a weigh in, none. Didn't Floyd also dominate in that fight, so its beyond obvious that he trained.
