Uh, well yeah, they will, because he WILL be the champ. Judah was undisputed and lost to Baldy, so if Baldy loses to Gatti...guess what? Yeah...

Morales and Pacquaio are in a different situation. Judah was THE champ (had all the major belts plus RING mag belt) and he clearly lost to the NEW champ.

Floyd will wallow in contuined relative obscurity, whereas Gatti still is a bigger name, has more money, and could be a REAL champ shortly.

By contrast, Floyd will be fighting the guy who was one punch KO'd by Tszyu and who lost embarassingly to an unheralded Carlos Baldomir.

I think Gatti was more perplexed in that fight than just quit. Mayweather is, perhaps, one of the most skilled, talented boxers to ever lace up a pair of gloves. Even when he first started fighting, as a boxer rather than a fighter, Gatti didn't possess 1/10th the natural skill that Mayweather has. Very few do.
Gatti has done everything he has done by getting in there and trying his best in every single fight he has ever been in. He did his best against Mayweather, as well. The gap in skill level was just too wide to overcome.

Exactly! Gatti has been making a fortune because of how exciting he is..even though he supposedly sucks Yet, floyd cant draw that big a crowd..and HE's the elite fighter. Just goes to show you dont have to be top dog to give a great performance and have the majority of the masses love you for it.

Well if anyone earns his paycheck, its Gatti. He trys to win everytime out and lays his body on the line everytime. At least the fans acknowledge this and people like Floyd Mayweather and Ronald Wright get paid for their labours accordingly!

I love a great technician too, but will not insult lesser talented boxers, especially when theyve got the guts to get in the ring, never knowing if they'll walk back out or get carried out. Especially those that give it their all every time. Whatever compustats say about the output from gatti during the fight with floyd is nothing but a compliment to floyd...not necessairly a negative about gatti. Floyd is a defensive master so gatti did what he could, and made good money doing it. Lol, I'd say floyd is grateful for that chance to make money he's not able to make on his own anyway
