[QUOTE=tracylee]very true...manny steward said that if his corner hadnt stopped it, the head of the commission would have. One thing gatti does not know how to do is quit.

DID GATTI THROW PUNCHES AGAINST FLOYD??? WAS HE THROWING PUNCHES? HOW ARE YOU TRYING TO WIN IF YOU DON'T THROW PUNCHES?

HE DIDN'T SAY "NO MAS", BUT HE QUIT TRYING.,,,and EARLY.

I WILL BE GLAD TO POST THE PUNCHSTAT NUMBERS FOR THOSE OF YOU DOING REVISIONIST HISTORY.

Gatti has CRUMBLED whenever he has faced a good fighter. He is a C -level fighter beating up and getting into "wars" with D-level fighters. Whoop-de-doo. Call Canastota.

      .

      To quote the article above**********

Mayweather absolutely could not miss, tagging Gatti again and again with left hooks, right hands, jabs, body shots – all in gaudy combination. “Pretty Boy” Floyd unloaded his entire arsenal on Gatti, and never, ever appeared to be anything less than overwhelming.

By the end of the second round, Gatti had been completely neutralized by Mayweather’s ungodly speed. Thunder was reluctant to punch, because every time he did, he was met with a five or six punch counter combination that had him wondering what he was thinking when he took this fight.

Mayweather saw Gatti’s offense coming from a mile away. The proud New Jersey-based Canadian landed perhaps a couple of body punches all night long.

Pretty Boy began digging to the body in the fourth, and the end was near. At one point, Mayweather landed three consecutive right hands.

******** Apparently, Duplicity isn't the only one who saw Gatti "RELUCTANT" (translation: PETRIFIED, LOL) to throw a punch.

        punchstat numbers for mayweather/gatti:

Gatti threw a total of fifty six (56) power punches over six rounds. Fewer than ten per round. In no round did Gatti LAND more than TWO.

Didn't he spend two months saying how he was gonna "test that little boy's chin"?

WOW!!.. WHAT A WARRIOR!!... HE REALLY WENT DOWN SWINGING!!!

Lol, you've made it very clear how you feel about him, we all GET IT. What you dont get is that I dont really care. What limited amount he has to offer, I love. Youre not going to change my mind about that. No man that puts his life on the line over and over again by getting in the ring to begin with is a loser...no matter how much you dont like him. Cant help but notice you seem to be focusing only on the Mayweather fight, which nobody thought he'd win.

Gatti was outclassed by Mayweather, yes, but I'd step into the ring with Floyd for that payday. But Gatti is a true warrior, and a champion. He may not be a world-class fighter, but calling him C- class is a little harsh. He has proven himself over the years, and I don't see how anybody could not respect the guy, or love to watch him go to war.

So, if you don't mind, tell us how you REALLY feel about Gatti.

I think Gatti was more perplexed in that fight than just quit. Mayweather is, perhaps, one of the most skilled, talented boxers to ever lace up a pair of gloves. Even when he first started fighting, as a boxer rather than a fighter, Gatti didn't possess 1/10th the natural skill that Mayweather has. Very few do.
Gatti has done everything he has done by getting in there and trying his best in every single fight he has ever been in. He did his best against Mayweather, as well. The gap in skill level was just too wide to overcome.

Gatti looks pretty good at this weight. I wonder if those winning gloves Morales and Mayweather wear could help him with his hand problems.

Not really. his hand problems are in his hand as much as they are in his wrists, at least from what I could decipher from his post-fight interview. The padding in the gloves will not help him keep from stretching and straining ligaments.

If the Mayweathers and Hattons and Castillos are the A class fighters... and the ChopChops and Manfredys are the B-class fighters...Where does that put Gatti?

I mean, he was beaten soundly by Ivan Robinson and Manfredy, then they went to lower quality opposition: Gamache, Dorin, Ancient Leija, Ward, Damgaard, et al.

He has never beaten even a B-level guy. That is just the fact of the matter. He is a C, or average, fighter.

What good is it to have balls, when you keep getting your ass handed to you? Everyone knows that Gatti has heart, but he just does not measure up to the top dogs. He will continue to be a bottom feeder, fighting the Damgaards and Baldozars of the division.
Blah blah blah cry cry cry. Get off of Floyd's sack. I see why you hate Gatti so much. Gatti is about to have a shot at a linear and Ring title, true championship status vs Baldomir, while Floyd will be fighting Zab for...nothing.
