does it mean Golovkin isn't good? not at all. Golovkin is beating people he's supposed to beat and he has done it in good fashion for the most part. is GGG p4p material? who knows, that remains to be seen.
Roizer is correct about him being pushed hard, Kellerman has basically anointed him, fair or not only time will tell.
Stevens is a quality opponent and based on styles it should be a great fight. people like to bring up he Findlay fight, showing that Stevens is a bum but people often forget that "styles make fights"
Stevens is horrible and totally confused against guys who box him. Stevens is a slugger so any boxer who uses movement and angles will make him look terrible.
what makes this fight interesting is Golovkin doesn't really do any of that. He's a front foot forward highly aggressive fighter. He'll be right in front of Stevens, which is what Stevens wants and needs.
I suspect this fight will be a poor man's version of Foreman v Frazier.
it's a good fight no matter if you like GGG or not.
Stevens should understand where you're coming from and stay on his toes, keeping his head on a swivel as his closes the distance with a educated double and triple jab. Get those inside positions established with ring generalship and a seasoned clinch game then rip off vicious combinations of uppercuts and body shots - but keeping his head down
Left uppercut, right uppercut, left hook
I can imagine Stevens could finish GGG with his heavy left hook to the liver after he fires off some speed shots upstairs - Round 2
Aren't you the same guy that said Stevens is going to beat Golovkin because he's black?
As a puncher, Stevens has a chance to land the big one. GGG is aggressive and puts his weight on the front foot. But he's not ******. He's got excellent ring smarts and technical skills to back it up. He's not going to stand in the pocket and trade with Stevens. I see him using just enough movement to control distance to make Stevens fall short with his punches. I don't know about Stevens' stamina but GGG will take the fight into the later rounds, wearing Stevens down with crisp shots to the body, then move in for the kill in round 11 or 12.
While there are far less Stevens fan boys, he's been proportionally overhyped when you considered their accomplishments.
Stevens knocked out Saul Roman and his hype train took off.
GGG has been steam rolling opponents for some time now; even his wins over Proksa or Ouma are better than Stevens's biggest wins. In the ring, he seems far more composed and talented boxing-wise. Even in what most perceived to be a big step against Macklin, he stayed calm and got the job done in much less time than most expected. Stevens took a **** against ****ing Jesse Brinkley...

Funny story Roman beat Ouma but you rank Golovkin going 10 with Ouma over Stevens destroying Roman in two minutes . That's Golovkin fan logic.
Also don't be suprised if Wilczewski could beat Proska.
