i don't know how you have a plan b for when you can't see out of an eye.in my opinion. garcia fought a great fight. lucas was doing his thing too. things changed with the left hook to his eye. lucas still was bringing it. its boxing and they both did well. things are looking good for both.

And Matthysse didn't need a plan B he was doing just fine. Hopkins is acting like he won the fight with all this talking. But I guess Garcia repped Philly for all.

Matthysse is good at what he does. But since the Peterson fight, I feel like he quickly became the most overrated fighter in the sport. I picked him to beat Danny. But that was moreso because I had never been impressed with Danny than impressed with Lucas. But Danny stepped up, and showed he is capable of beating a "top guy" that won't be filing for social security in the next year or so. Props to him for that.

first of all you blamed Matthysse for making excuses. So maybe you should blame his fans. It's 2 completely different things.

            Not THAT hard to understand.

it's the same **** every time...smh....Khan was touching Swift up for a couple of rounds until a Swift Hook changed the game....they called it a lucky punch....Matthysse was having success until a Swift Hook fractured his orbital bone.....they're calling it lucky under the sugar coated bs they're saying

Swift adjusted in BOTH fights and if they ever do rematches for those 2 fights....I am almost certain Swift will win both rematches by KO

nobody prepares for cuts and broken bones.....they train to avoid getting hit....so stop that eye **** and keep it 100....his defense let him down....that's why his orbital bone got fractured

Prior, they were not giving Garcia a shot to win at all and once Danny beat Matthysse, here they come with all of these excuses like "if it wasn't for the eye" If it wasn't for the eye then it would be something else because Garcia held it down. He made the eye like that. It just didn't happen out the blue to swing the fight in his favor. He fought hard to make that eye swell. It just kills me when Matthysse fans act like he can't lose and would not have because of his eye getting puffed up. Like Bernard Hopkins said. Matthysse did not have a plan B while Garcia did.

He took Matthysse punch from him and beat him. Matthysse power was not relevant because Garcia held his own when he got hit. Matthysse fought hard but he lost to the better fighter. Point blank. Team Garcia have bigger fish to fry. Why would they rematch Matthysse right away when they beat him convincingly? Garcia is the king of the 140 division. Matthysse has some rebuilding to do. Garcia has nothing left to prove between them. If it does happen down the line, remember I said Garcia gets him out of there this time.
If Garcia is staying at 140, I don't really think they do have bigger fish to fry unless they want to fight Peterson for the IBF.

Also it wasn't that convincing. Yes he won, but 7 out of 12 rounds were really competitive with Garcia clearly winning rounds 4,8,9 and 11. Maybe round 7 too, I can't quite remember.

Lucas is humble when he loses but than he'll see people are saying he got robbed and he'll embrace it, you see him crying over Zab and Devon, in a years you and everyone will call the Danny fight a robbery.

Lol but he was robbed. If he trains his ass off for 8 weeks and goes in there and wins only for the judges to say he didn't then he has a right to say he got robbed.

And yeah, but I think the Khan-Alexander winner will get the shot in May so Garcia needs to do something in the mean time. If he's not moving to 147 then Matthysse or Peterson are the only options really.
