Floyd Mayweather Jr. cannot make 140. He would be horribly drained trying.

13th September 2013
Canelo is a beast, the second coming on Julio Cesar Chavez
14th September 2013
Mayweather shuts out Canelo and makes him look like an amateur
15th September 2013
Canelo was an overhyped, weight drained bum that had no right to be in the ring with Mayweather

Then first call Golovkin to go down to 154 and fight Trout, for instance... If GGG does well, then go and ask for a FMJr fight... Simple an doable...

Mayweather puts a schooling on Garcia at 147, if they chose to fight at that weight. There's no way Floyd is going down to 140. And GGG is too big. Let's just forget that one, shall we?

I think it's better for GGG and Martinez to square off. Winner can fight Canelo for the pay day and if the kid wins, then he earns respect.
Floyd Sr states that a lack of stiff challenges in 147-154 isn't Floyd's fault. True. The real problem is Floyd's safety-first style, doing just enough to win on the score cards. This results in boring fights that make it hard to justify fans continually forking over $75 per PPV event (although to be fair to GBP the undercard this time was solid).
If Floyd had used his superior skills to KO Guerrero and Canelo, then he wouldn't get boxing fans clamoring for him to take on GGG. I'd be satisfied with him dropping Paquiao, Bradley, Khan, etc and then retire.
