It seems people focus to much on these things and think these are the determining factors in fights.Boxing is not that simple, there are so many intangibles especially when you get to the elite level where EVERYONE CAN FIGHT. In my opinion the mental aspect is the most important thing, how mentally tough you are,how well you can think even when tired or hurt. The mental aspect is what separates world champions from contenders, and World champions from the elite p4p fighters.

Speed does not make a fighter, nor does power

Speed, power, technique, experience, mental fortitude etc....
They are all just tools a fighter has at their disposal no single one can make anyone a world class fighter I guess fighters have to apply all of the tools in their arsenal and keep learning to improve and become something special.

styles make fights
assessing style clashes, power and speed are the 1st places you look
those are raw attributes and not skills, but they're obviously important
having 1 or the other or both doesn't make a fighter, that's true
but especially powerful/quick guys can outduel more skilled guys
it depends on how they incorporate those attributes into their style
if you can use it properly, you're a winner
if you can't, then it doesn't matter
people keep talking about Alvarez' size strength advantage over Floyd
that's a fight where it won't matter, because the skill gap is too big
there's better boxers than Lucas at his range, but his power neutralizes
it's not the same for every fight

Versy is right... mentality is 90% of the game, and something **** hawks in NSB rarely talk about.
Dunno where Versy's mind was at against Marc Adkins though...

Best example though: Carl Froch?
High mentality over ability ratio there. Though I do think his skills are underrated in NSB.
