Mickey Bey could have taken a knee 6 time and still come out as the winner

That's a whole minute of recovery time. Being ahead on the scorecards, why the **** don't trainers yell at their fighters to do this?

EDIT: My math is wrong. Forgot to count the last round. He could taken a knee 4 times.

He was disoriented in his corner, not knowing what had just happened. He probably didn't have the presence of mind to take a knee, did he even try to clinch?

Yes, he attempted to clinch on multiple occasions. The guy was out on his feet.

Bey disagreeing with the stoppage is ridiculous, ref saved his career imo.

When you get hurt suddenly your mind goes to self preservation, you wouldn't think to take a knee because in normal circumstances where you get hurt by an aggressor taking a knee would get you beaten to a pulp.

That being said if he took six knees as you would advise the referee would call off the fight as he'd judge him incapable of continuing.

even Cotto would laugh at his ass if he took that many knees

The stoppage was good. The ref gave Bey enough time to defend himself. A knee would've been the smart move but Bey didn't have the presence of mind to do it. He did try to hold but got a few punches to the face for his efforts.

that would be some funny **** if a fighter way ahead on the cards but completely spent with about a minute to go, just takes six consecutive knees haha like a quarterback taking a knee to take time off the clock.
