I like how Floyd made Canelo and Guerrero sign to Mayweather Promotions. Oh wait!

They are signed to a promotional company he has a good working relationship with. From a financial point of view I can understand where Mayweather is coming from, with two losses on the trot Pacquiao brings far less to the table. Him fighting Mayweather would put him back in the limelight, win or lose.

It is the same with guys like Ortiz, Guerrero and Canelo. Now with all of those fighters, they're attributed to GBP, to that end GBP promotion provides him with future opponents in exchange for the limelight given to their fighters. In the case of Pacquiao he's with Top Rank, who will not provide Mayweather with future opponents, so he will receive nothing in exchange for jolting Pacquiao's dying career.

Business wise I understand exactly where he's coming from. As a fight fan I honestly don't care, the fight has zero appeal to me now as Marquez shattered the allusion and Pacquiao's career is pretty much finished. I'd rather see Floyd fight the winner of Garcia vs Matthysse.

You can only get annoyed if you think Floyd is serious about what he's saying; he has been schooled in the art of shock value. That's why he said Cotto was undefeated cause he is trying to sell a fight he was taught well in his time with the WWE. I do think the fight will happen if Manny not with Top Rank but Manny won't leave Bob so in essence I don't care if it happens anymore neither is in there prime anymore. I care more about Floyd fight Canelo or the Garcia vs Lucas winner than anybody on Top Rank.

Am I missing something? Didn't Pac get stretched last fight? Isn't Pac fighting somebody in November coming off of a loss as well? Why is this fight even coming out of peoples mouth? In my opinion Pac has to beat the Bradley and Marquez winner to even deserve to mention Floyds name
