Floyd will not be fighting canelo, he will be running away from alvarez while throwing pot shots for 12 rounds.

PWill said he would come down to 147, but Margarito was the best challenge out there.

I applauded Manny when he fought Hatton and Cotto, both were good fights against top fighters. Clottey pissed me off at first because he basically turned down Floyd's testing and everything was ready to go for that fight, and than fought Clottey. But still, Clottey to me was like Floyd fighting Guerrero or Ortiz, they were Top 5 WW's and legit opponents.
Margarito was awful, coming off a KO loss and hadn't done anything since, plus it was for a vacant belt at 154 against a guy who wasn't even ranked there. Mosley was awful because his recent fights were a one sided loss to Floyd and a draw with Mora. When Mosley was a legit fight, late 2009/early 2010, they didn't even seem interested in fighting him. Marquez 3 was god awful. Marquez only fight at WW was a one sided loss to Mayweather, and was deemed terrible at the weight.
Bradley was good, similar in standing to Floyd-Hatton. Bradley was undefeated, the best 140 fighter at the time, and was Top 10 P4P. That was a good option on Manny's part.
Than Marquez 4 wasn't great but given what had happened in Marquez 3, I understand why he had to take this fight.
Rios is bad. Had he been cleared to fight last spring or early summer, when Rios was coming off stopping Alvarado, I'd say it's an ehhh fight. Not bad considering Manny's coming off a KO loss, but not great because Rios still isn't really even one of the best 140 fighters.
But now it just sucks because Rios lost the rematch to Alvarado, and Alvarado should have gotten the fight. Rios is another opponent coming off a convincing loss for Manny.
