Many fighters, yes. But most, no. Manny Pacquaio for instance, puts on 1-3 lbs maybe. Same for Floyd Mayweather. These two fighters are some of the few left that actually fight in their goddamn natural weight classes. Bravo for them.

Anyways, for example, let's think about Robert Guerrero for a second. He was fighting at LW for quite some time, when he really walked around above 160 lbs! And the funny thing is that the uneducated are amazed at his quick and easy jump to Welterweight.

Tim Bradley said he was fighting at 152 lbs @ 16! After 12 years, you think his weight stayed the same? You know how much the body grows between those years? I don't rule out 180 lbs. And I definitely don't rule out 170 lbs. He's already on record saying 165 lbs -- and that figure is him being generous in my opinion.

We can all believe what we want, but there is no healthy way that Bradley was fighting at JWW for all these yrs walking around at 180lb or 170lb..Now that he is fighting at WW I believe he has put back on the weight, cause he only has to cut a few pounds to get to 147lb..Noway 180lb is a reg for him..165lb is believable,180lbs was not common and was due to what the man had to go through in his personal life(as he said as much)..Marquez wants Bradley to bend to his will, that is all this is about..

Hey bud, I was happy that Cotto said NO to a CW with Manny for the 154 title. I would also have been happier if Cotto stuck to his guns and asked Manny to fight at 147.

I have said this plenty of times. Manny winning at 145 was an achievement considering the division he came from but at 147 it would have been even better and I'm sure that Manny would have beat that version of Cotto as well.

I like Marquez too .... but again, I'm consistent. If they both agree, no problem but if Bradley isn't happy about it then he should stick to his guns as he has the upper hand on this one.

Same goes for Floyd vs Canelo. Wished it was at 154 as there are 3 titles on the line.

At the end of the day, I just want a good exciting competitive fight.

Well, so much for extra testing. If Marquez is so worried about his opponent's fight-night weight, then he should move back down to 135/140.

That's the thing. What many of these fighters are doing is UNHEALTHY. Adding anymore than a few lbs of water is no good. At 165 lbs, he'd be adding 18 lbs. And that's unfortunately the norm, despite it's lunacy. You see how heavy he is in the presser pics? Lol. I'm willing to bet he's weeeeell above 170 lbs right now.

So then what's the excuse now? He was depressed again because of the beating the Russian put on him?
