Oscar is the biggest bull****ter in boxing, more so than schaefer and arum. Atleast their bull**** is believable sometimes, every time oscar talks i roll my eyes.

I thought he made DLH come down from 154 to 145, two pounds under the ww limit.

You thought wrong. It was a 147lb limit fight. That's after the Floyd rematch fell through for Oscar (at 150? or 147?), and he took on Forbes at 150, preparing to cherrypick a higher ranked midget at 147 to revive his flagging career. Hatton was first offered 147. Pac was the last resort since it was thought as too much of a cherrypick.

I agree that round 1 goes to Canelo. If Floyd really thought ginger was easy work he would have said 154 no problem. Against Oscar he didn't have the leverage to force a catchweight, but with Cotto he could have made him come down to 152 if he really though he was a threat. He knew Cotto was damaged goods so weight wasn't an issue.
The fact that he is looking for every edge he can (he also called the shots on ring and glove size as well) shows he know that Canelo is a threat.
With that said I don't think the weight will mean that much. Canelo will re hydrate to a proper amount between the weigh in and the fight. Canelo's best chance is to catch Floyd early and break him down to the body. One thing Oscar did do well is take advantage when Floyd is forced to the ropes and corners. Even if your not hurting him your scoring.
Will be an interesting fight and Floyd deserves credit both for fighting this soon after May 5th and for taking on this challenge.
Win or lose Canelo will be more popular and will come out with no damage.

              Agree with all of that.

The thing is - if people don't rate the DLH win for Pac, that's fine. Oscar was obviously dead at that weight, and Pac beat his ass. I like the win, I think it's a little underrated but have no problems with anyone who doesn't rate it. That's fine. I'm not gonna say it's an amazing win considering Oscar was like a shrivelled prune in that fight.

My issue, and it's one that keeps cropping up - is that people cite that fight as the one where Pac drained an opponent.

I mean, that's just a blatant lie. Oscar had all the cards, if it wasn't such a blatant cherry-pick, it would have been at 154 - WW was just the compromise so the fight wasn't a total farce. This was basically the fight where Pac was going up for a well-paid ass-beating, before coming back down and carrying on, you know, his proper boxing career. It was such a mis-match in favour of DLH that they made Pac keep his trainers on right after the weigh-in, so people wouldn't laugh at the size discrepancy between the two.

So when did the narrative of the fight change from Pac being forced to go up essentially 3 weight classes - to Catchweight King Pacroid draining DLH?

No...they both agreed to meet at 147, thats what the records and articles show but Oscar decided he wanted to be lighter for speed and came in at 145. Article: Oscar did a Cherry-pick and he picked a Cherry Bomb instead.

yeah right...having a nutritionist for the first time will help canelo improve his stamina while cutting 2 more pounds. he will be subjected to a new diet and new eating habits that may take some time for canelo's body to adjust. the catchweight will fcuk up his already bad stamina and having a nutritionist for the first time is not a guarantee it will save him.

I like how the flow moez is trying to excuse floyd from this by saying well atleast Floyd only asked canelo to come down 2lbs lol!!! point is floyd said he'll never drain his opponent or ask for a CW and then bam! He asked for one and his groupies is saying its ok since it's only 2lbs lol.
