What happened to Donaire's face? You say Rigo wasn't hurting anyone.

hectari it's donaires job to adjust to Rigos movement, it showed how truly one dimensional Donaire is, just like Pacquiao he cannot adjust to technical boxers

      you sound butthurt

Round 12 was the best round, when I went in watching this fight I expected more from Rigo, I knew he had the tools. If he threw more combos and fought like he did in the 12th round and walked Nonito down like Floyd does to guys who can't figure him out, I would be praising the crap out of him.

lol when I think casual fan I think a guy who knows like 3 fighters and occasionally watches boxing by random and has no idea what is going on, or someone who only worships one fighter.

I really doubt almost anyone who takes time out of their day to post on here is a casual fan. Atleast by how I think of it lol

I'm more of a boxer/puncher fan..but when I watch Hopkins, Mayweather, Ward and now Rigo completely shut down/out elite boxers it makes me appreciate the smarts these men bring to the ring...

Even when sparring myself I think of them and how impressive it is to dish out shots and pick someone apart while barely even being touched..it makes me really appreciate their style and ring IQ
Ward, hopkins, and PBF are diffrent. Ward went out and put a hurting on Dawson, Hopkins is almost 50 and when he was prime he knocked people out, and PBF well he's slightly more entertaining then Rigo. yeah you arn;t getting touched but you arn't exactly hurting anyone either. it's like they are playing tag who the *** wants to watch that.

That Rigo fight was just plain flat out boring! rigo gets all the credit i thought he won and i think he's very skilled. But *** was it a snooze fest.

              What does that tell you?

Fight your fight. It's the opponents job to figure you out.

Mares executed his game plan and bullied Moreno to a UD. I'm a fan of Moreno but props to Mares for doing what he had to do to win. Can't say the same for Nonito Saturday night. There are ways to deal with boxers that use movement and have low volume. It's up to you to figure out how to do it.

good post, i agree. pea even went into the trenches a few times against bigger guys, even delahoya and chavez and did well. i wanted guillermo to step on the gas, especially having donaire discouraged, but thats not in his game i dont think especially on the inside where guys like whitaker were much better and better reflexively..yes i believe whitaker had better reflexes

does bradley really mind though? he is lined up for big money bouts these days regardless, whereas rigo would most likely be left in the dark regardless if he was spectacularly KOd by nonito or won a UD....its a damned if you do situation for sure.

im a big mares fan but picked moreno to win a ud.....huge props to mares for fighting HIS fight and getting the win.
