funny as it sounds, the best chance for the new " stand and trade " byrd is to land punches on the inside. this time wladdy will use his height and reach to keep burdy on the outside, chris doesn't have the skills he used to have, but he says his punches are more powerful, he's gonna have to use this new power on wladdy and see what happens. somehow, though, as much as i'd like to see byrd beat wlad up like he beat up james thunder, i don't see it happening, byrd would have to fight the opposite of how he normally does, throw punches with bad intentions to the body for most of the early rounds, i've watched many byrd fights and can't rememeber him EVER throwing a real body punch with something on it, then go upside wlad's head and try to knock his ass out. i just don't see it happening, byrd's not mean enough to do damage, we'll have to wait for brewster when he becomes unified IBF / WBO champ

of course he is, his other choice was brewster, Manny wants to milk this supposed comeback as long as possible. Brewster would end his career once and for all

I really don't know, too be honest. The first fight Byrd tried to box with him and his defense was not very effective, and Wlad did a good job of shortening up his punches so that he could hit Byrd. Also Wlad did a decent job of avoiding Byrd's shots and the shots Byrd landed did not hurt Wlad.

If I were Byrd I would go balls to the wall, and go for the KO, he has no chance otherwise, and being agressive would give him the best chance.

I agree with that. Full credit to Chris for taking the fight when he took a fairly bad beating last time, and if he does fight aggressively it might - might - unbalance Wlad. I still don't think the Peter fight shook all the demons out of his head.

Surprise surprise. Wlad is fighting some one he already beat and someone who is MUCH smaller than him.

How about this. It was much easier for Byrd to negotiate a deal with Wlad because he is no longer owned by don king. You do not have king forcing Wlad for future options. That is why this deal was made rather than the one against Brewster.

Sanders=Retired, TOS=not a contender and not worth fighting/doesnt have a belt, and I thought Brewster already has a defense lined up? I'd definently like to see him fight Brewster.
