Why wouldn't he? Perfect Mayweather opponent...people are still high off his victory over mediocre Broner so if Mayweather fights and beats him, people will praise him for a victory over an opponent coming off a "great win". They will say he only fights "winners". But if you are smart enough to see past this illusion, you will know that there is more than meets the eye, you will know that Maidana although tough and powerful, has limited boxing skills and has shown that he can be outboxed by mediocre fighters. He's done this with all his recent opponents. It's all psychological games with mayweather.

Like a magician conning it's audience through the power of perception and illusions, Mayweather cons his fans through the power of perception and persuasion into beleiving that his opponents are coming off great wins and disregarding their history of brutal losses and limited boxing skills. There is nothing wrong with beating a fghter with previous losses, but there is something wrong when you falsely claim to only fight winners, and con guillable fans into beleiving it when there is kore than meets the eye.
