Mayweather with out his wannabe persona would his fans even like him?

alot of his fans only like him because of his persona the undeafeated part is a bonus its the same reason ward is undeafeated but without the love.

Bad question. People like Mayweather because he's a smooth as fighter man. The Defense, counterpunching, accuracy, ring smarts, etc. When Floyd fought JMM, I didnt even know he was THAT smooth. It was shocking.

i'm a floyd fan because of his skill set and boxing ability not his persona, i couldn't care less about the persona

I dont follow Floyd for his persona, I hated him and wanted to see him beat by Gatti, DLH, Judah but after he beat them and I understood boxing a bit more and saw that he truly is an awesome fighter, I decide to embrace him as one of my fav boxers because of his skills, I thing the persona he portraits is for $$$$ nothing else.

Great comment. I hated Floyd for his personality. But when he fought Juan, I was amazed thats when I became a fan. I recently stopped being a fan, when he ducked Pacman. But all of my favoritism was for his skills. I could care less about his personality.

thanks, oh man that fight blew me away, I kinda wanted JMM to win and I taught he would be more competitive but was I wrong, yea I don't think he ducked Pac Man and Pac Man didn't duck Floyd, I believe Arum and GBP(a little) where the main stumbling block and the money on the table to be made (greed) got to both fighters that neither wanted to submit to the other demands =(.

No, no, no. Floyd himself was causing problems. He even admitted he was scared for his health, and said take the test, after Pac agreed to it.

floyd is my favorite fighter but the money persona really rubs me the wrong way. i believe he is a very selfish individual and could care less about us fans. watch his twitter feed.. he only posts things to help him make even more money.. he doesnt communicate well with his fans and he continues to leave us in the dark all the time... would love to see him become more humbled but i dont think that will happen until he retires and maybe broke... who knows? gifted as hell but a straight up jerk
