So the number 1 P4P guy in the world, Pacquiao. Fights a OLD WASHED UP fighter that was clearly over the hill, this guy didn't have a prayer against Pacquiao. Mosley was on a losing streak of 2...he got taxed by Mayweather...taxed by Mora too, but they robbed Mora.

They actually promoted the fight by using Shane Mosley clips of back in the 90's, when he was undefeated and young.....clips from 20 years ago.

Yeah, even Bob Arum said that Shane was done and there was no reason to make the fight with Pacquiao before he made the Shane fight with Pacquiao AFTER Shane left Golden Boy.

Arum has nerve with some of the **** fights we were fed and the many fighters he protected. With that said he was right to an extent about Berto and the legging comment about Oscar was hilarious.

I think your senseless brain doesnt realize gbp has Saul alvarez. Right now he is too big to not even accept to fight with floy on the same card and have his own and he will still fill those seats. Name me anyone from TR besids pac that sells more than canelo at this point? Chavez would come close but canelo is still bigger than him in USA and Mex. now that he lost he lost more people and hype

You make some valid points but lets get it straight. Manny Pacquiao made the decision to take Oscar's brief case full of money knowing he was signed to Top Rank so technically that should fall on Manny as the one not being able to be trusted. Promoters are going to be shady regardless but the loyalty lies with the actual client.

Golden Boy fighters made Manny Pacquiao who he is today. Pacquiao was doing his thing but once he fought Oscar and Hatton he took off to a new level.

Floyd came back wanting to fight Pacquiao and it didn't come off. Golden Boy has always been willing to make fights happen even if they didn't like or agree with Arum's business methods at times. Arum has been the one who flat out says he will not deal with Golden Boy and fighters must leave their promoters to fight his guys.

I totally agree with Bob Arum regarding Andre Berto. He was protected for so long that once he started losing he went on a streak. Golden Boy protects young fighters and Top Rank protects them once they become stars. Always the same song and dance between these two companies but Golden Boy just has a wider range of fighters. This beef may be bad for boxing but I think (in my opinion) that it will make these companies step their game up and put together better fights with their top fighters from now on.

No matter though, he makes a valid point that can't be disputed. Top Rank creates champions from scratch, where all GBP is doing is getting the most **** for their buck per fight for each of their fighters.

Those differences between the two promotional giants is a fact. The only thing is that, as you've mentioned, yes, GBP currently has way more people in their stable. But, with their proven inadequacies, they have yet to "produce" a fighter from scratch. All they're good at is milking Showtime/HBO for the most amount of money possible for their fighters through negotiations with Al Haymon.

Mayweather is the name of the game right now. As soon as he's gone, it will be up to GBP to replace him with someone that has the resume to be that next big star. And for all those people riding Canelo, understand that homeboy got a long way to go. Don't let your pride get in the way of the logic. He needs to work his way up like the rest of these established champions.

The biggest fighters that come to my mind on how a fighter is supposed to be groomed to stardom is (as previously mentioned), Oscar De La Hoya (TR), Mayweather (TR), Cotto (TR).

Now some people involved in boxing want to sign fighters and have them fight tomato cans and have networks pay to show those fights - and it goes on and on and on. Arum is the dude who said he woul NEVER sit down and do business with GBP...but Richard and Hoya said they'll sit at the table and deal with the devil just to make the fights the fans wanna see...plus GBP knows deep down they'll murk TR, roster for roster...Arum is just being Arum...this sort of thing is what he does....but ppl fall for it so I guess he still has his slickness....thats about all he has left though

And another cheap trick from roach. The contract stipulated dlh had to wt 147 on fight nite so he fought at a wt he hasnt fought at in 8 years. Dehydrated loss. Defeated at the scale
