I think most know that I don't rate Zab Judah but I do think he'll pose some problems.

I can see Judah fight a good fight the first 6 but depending on how the fight goes will Judah lose it mentally, is the real question... This is time to go hard or go home for Judah, and if he wins, how many will begin to criticize Garcia. Gotta love boxing!

zab has the skills to make danny look bad but you never know what judah will come into the fight, tbh i dont think danny will ko him to,danny has good timing but i dont think hell catch judah as clean as morales and kahn , also danny isnt really a pressure fighter.

Garcia will lose this. He is very wide and quite slow in his footwork and hands. His power won't be as effective VS Judah and his workrate isn't great.

I got JudAH FOR THE UPSET. Judah is fast, durable on the whole, has a decent defense and is elusive. Garcia is a counter puncher and Judah won't give him the opportunities.

IMO if Khan wasn't so angry and going for a KO, he would have won.

The 36 year old who has been out of the ring for a year. Wasn't this rib "injury" convenient for Garcia all around?

i just don't have that much faith in zab anymore. zab might win the first few rounds but garcia will take the rest.

He hurt Cotto and last 11 rounds, despite coming off a 400+ day lay off and 2 back to back losses to Baldomir and Mayweather.

He was competitive in a couple of the first 4 rounds against Floyd, round 7 and 10.

He was pretty competitive against Clottey before the cut.

He was more than competitive against Matthysse, had him winning by 1 point.

                  The Spinks loss was close.

Judah's problem is not if he could compete with the top guys, is can he stay consistent. Judah can put up a string of 5 good wins against good opposition, then lose 3 in a row.

What I always so though, Judah's 7 losses are blown out of proportion. I'll give you Tszyu, Mayweather, Spinks and Khan. But the rest were huge WW's. Clottey, Baldomir, Cotto, were big WW's but people act like Judah isn't really a JWW that has no business being at 147, but at least he tried and even became undisputed WW champion.
Excellent post....It touches on the crux of the issue. I never liked Zab when he was young because he had enough natural talent to rank up there with the guys like Jones, Whitaker and Ali, not as a fignter per se but as a gifted athlete. This guy can still punch faster than Mayweather, and when he gets inspired outbox guys like Corrie Spinks. BUT what killed me was the way his corner (dad) operated....never any instructions other than punch punch punch....and Zab's lack of mental capacity was stifling.

But as a gatekeeper? I think Zab is the poster child for the archetypical gate keeper....call him Plato's gate keeper! He is ALWAYS a threat for the first 4 rounds, if Garcia, or anyone including Floyd! relaxes for a second? Zab can take them out...still! Zab has become one of my favorite fighters, i.e. he is my gatekeeper guy. Can you get past the stuttering, talented, bundle of dice throwin, Brooklyn home grown mess that is the spaz?

And ever notice how many times Zab gets a crack at a championship? He is always in the running and always a live dog, never to be taken lightly.

Judah can and will be competitive in this fight as he always is. His mental makeup may ruin that, after a few rounds. But im not sold on Garcia, his 1st fight with Morales the old man nearly had him out on his feet.. If Morales was any younger, Garcia would have been ko'd. Khan was doing a pretty good job as well, but seriously if you hit Khan on the chin that is the result... Judah is a Southpaw as well, which could cause some problems for Danny..

I think Judah will be more competitive than a lot of people are giving him credit for.
