I don't think it matters what Broner does, people are going to hate on it. However this is exactly what he wants which is exactly why he's getting the attention and pay checks.

Before Floyd destroyed everything there was about Hatton and his team, Hatton Broner would have been an epic fight IMO at JWW. Pauli took everything Hatton had and lost by TKO in the championship rounds, I don't think Broner has the power or pressure to stop Pauli.

I think Broner wins, but I can see it people thinking Pauli should have won. I could be over rating Pauli but I believe he's better than people are giving him credit for.

oh geez, here we go with the "so and so is cherry picking" thing. I see it as a fight that could be dangerous, but is a good test of the waters to see how a guy will do at 140-147. Paulie isn't a puncher, but that doesn't mean he can't ruin your plans with his consistant jab and experience against very top opposition.

I realize most people here who don't like Floyd will not like Broner, but he claims he wants the best... we will see if he lives up to that or not. Until then, save your distaste for the guy until we find out if he's the real deal or not.

For the record... I don't like Broner that much myself, but thus far the kid has shown good skills.

Definitely, pick the weakest WW with a belt whilst skipping the entire 140 pound division.

          By definition.

Out of all of the beltholders from 135-147 that he could have possibly chosen, he "picked" Paulie out of all of the possible options.

I like Broner and think he will be a great fighter in this sport but a spade is a spade.

No. Stepping up two weights against any fighter for the first time is legit, let alone a champion. Especially when people say Broner has already lost two fights at lower weights.

All high profile fighters are "cherry picking" their opponents. This is a business and just like in any other business risk vs reward analysis is done on their fights. Some of you are stuck in the past, No current elite boxer is taking on all challengers.

Of course it's a cherry pick when all the top dogs at lww are all bigger threats than Malignaggi. This is a guy who can't punch his way out of a wet paper bag.

Not really, he's moving up two weight classes, even if it is paulie.

It difficult for me to call it a cherry pick, it is a clever way to grab a belt at 147 but I wouldn't disrespect Paulie by saying that so NO it's not a cherry pick.
