everyone wants to see the canelo fight IF canelo can beat trout. we dont even know that for sure.

Where was all this determination to fight someone in his own weight class over the last several "years"?

He wants this huge payday, but he's just now doing the necessary things to earn that payday. He needs to put the blame on himself and GBP.

All of a sudden he shows all this initiative and take control of his career, but he wasn't saying schit when he was matched against the likes of Josesito Lopez.
I thought he had signed to fight James Kirkland, who later got hurt or something? There were at east 2 other fights he tried to make with other 154 pound fighters who were also held in high regard but injuries kept coming up. I'd have to do some research to remember exactly who they were but it's not like he didn't try. Ryan Rhodes was career lmw but I think the last few times he has fought smaller guys who moved up and I was tired of it personally.

I can't act like he didn't even try to make some matches with legit 154 pound guys though, that's why people were and have been saying stuff about the "Canelo Curse"......that's what they are referring to. Trout is the best 154 pound fighter available anywhere so people can't continue to say he is "ducking" the best opposition anymore. If he beats Trout convincingly, he can't no longer be called a "bum" or "hype job" either.

I remember in 2008 when Floyd didn't want to fight Cotto because they said Cotto wasn't a PPV draw. Cotto definitely had the WW resume, something Canelo lacks at JMW, but Team Mayweather said Cotto wasn't a draw.

Well, that problem is solved now because despite his resume, Canelo is definitely a draw.
Lolmfao. Cotto wasn't a draw because Floyd said so. Yeah okay. Cotto was a draw. And more so then, than he is now. A star fighter from PR not a draw. Thats funny.
As for canelo. Yes I totally agree. He has a massive following.

the canelo fight is much bigger than the guerrero fight. floyd said he fights whoever makes him the most money. was he lying? doesn't seem like floyd to lie.

I lean to agree with this point of view.

You're right. We don't know. He'll for that matter we don't know if Floyd will get past Guerrero. IMO I think canelo will have a easier time beating trout than Floyd beating Guerrero. But it's supposed to go down where both canelo and Floyd win. Who knows. If it does than again this beef gave Floyd a reason to not do business with canelo. Which means fight him

Based off this statement of yours, I wouldn't bother to think you're necessarily racist...that would be glorifying your type. Your statement makes me deduce, though, that you're either an abused minor, or a minion, or both.

He may be apart of a Mayweather undercard again. It all depends on how Alvarez looks while losing to Trout.

im sure floyd would fight him actually. im kinda glad he didn't agree to any contract because if that were to happen then there is no way in hell trout would be able to get a decision.

would be like sturm getting completely jobbed against DLH because DLH was supposed to fight hopkins in the next fight. sickening

                      1. He tried to fight an "injured" Kirkland. He didn't try to fight the Kirkland that annihilated Angulo; the Kirkland that was the mandatory. No, he tried to make a fight with the Kirkland who "ALREADY", stated in countless interviews that he wasn't going to be fully recovered. Why people try to say Canelo tried to make the Kirkland fight beats the hell out of me; that is unless you consider fighting someone injured "trying to make the fight".

                      2. He tried to fight Paul Williams after Williams was coming off the Lara loss. Sure, he tried to make the fight, but Lara should've been the one rewarded, not Williams.

                      3. When the Williams fight fell through, you had several JMW's waiting for the opportunity. Victor Ortiz and Lopez aren't the answers when Williams is unavailable. A hurt James Kirkland isn't the answer. How about Lara? Or even Vanes, Molina, Andrade....

                      4. He fought Ryan Rhodes, #6 JMW at the time, when the JMW division was nowhere near how stacked it is today. That's like fighting the #6 HVWT of today as oppose to fighting the #6 HVWT in the 70's. Not sure if that was the right analogy, but I hope you get my drift.
