WHY should he?
Why should Mayweather fight Canelo? Does he have anyone to fight in his weight division? The guy has to drain himself to come in at 154 but during fight he weights at 170 pounds. At what point should anyone fight someone that is clearly out of his weight class. Mayweather said after the Cotto fight that he does not feel comfortable at 154. Shouldn't he be honest and admit that he is better at 147. Canelo is 22 so he is going to grow into a light heavyweight before his career is over. He can fight Martinez at 154.

Mayweather should have took the fight at 147 lbs with Canelo. Make the weight-in the day of the fight. Cause the these 185 lbs fighters want Mayweather to come up to 154. Let them cut 40 lbs and drain themselve for the fight. Canelo wants to weight 154 a day before the fight, then on fight night be close to 175 lbs fighting and 147 lbs man.....get real.

His attitude is the same that these younger generation fighters have. They feel like they are supposed to make it to the top without working to get there.
Not surprising, but disappointing how people give Mayweather a pass on this bs. Guerrero is a crap fight. He poses no physical or skill threat to Floyd even at 36. Skill wise Canelo is not on Floyd's level, but physically he would be the biggest threat he has faced since he was fighting at 135. And he is fighting in a division that Floyd just won a belt in so its not like people are asking him to go to 160 to fight Martinez.
Canelo is the most intriguing fight out there for Floyd. His people said they would make the fight and then backed out. That's a straight up blatant duck in my book.

A thread full of nothing. This is nothing but hype for a fight. Think people.

I don't see a huge number of potential opponents for Mayweather but his list has Maidana, Alexander, Angulo and couple of others so yeah.
