    Broner skipping 140

Will broner skip 140 lb division? There is talk of him skipping it and going straight to 147. Will you guys accept this, and do you think hes doing this as a duck so he can duck matthysse, rios, khan, garcia, and peterson?

Personally I think matthysse and khan wil beat broner not sure about the rest, what you guys think?

don't be surprised if he stays at 135, killing himself to make weight. He'll only move up when 140 dries up and the talent leaves

He's not skipping 140. His manager is Al Haymon not Richard Schaefer.

Richard Schaefer's job is to promote and pitch ideas to see how the public reacts. He has nothing to do with the management of a fighters career and he's not a matchmaker.

Absolutely nobody is demanding a Broner/Malignaggi fight.

The talent left 135 a while ago. There's nothing left for Broner at 135 aside from the Burns/Vazquez winner, which isn't generating much interest to begin with.

When he stops off at 140 on his journey up the scale I expect him to take on the softer touches of the division while avoiding the real threats like Matthysse and Rios.

i agree, i see him fighting some can first, then someone like ajose and garcia, but i see him avoiding rios, matthysse, peterson and khan. I know people say garcia is really good, but stylistically i think broner destroys him, and i know khan is a puss* but his style will pose a lot of problems

What makes you think Schaeffer didn't make the offer to Haymon and Haymon liked it? Who the hell was demanding Broner vs Perez, Litzau and Rees? Just to name a few... Whether you agree or not Paulie is a good/ok name on anyone's resume. Especially with a belt around his waist.

In all fairness, the guy's only been at a new weight class for two fights. I have never seen fans so hell bent on trying to force a guy to move up. He could still fight Burns/Vazquez, Abril, or even Gamboa (long shot, but still). I'm certain he'll be at 140 by next year, just give it time.

All B-level fighters who NOBODY knows.

147 is currently occupied by 3 ATGS and about 5 p4p ranked fighters (although those rankings are a joke) makes perfect sense to want to fight in that divsion, from both a business standpoint and well as a professional one.

Legacies and drawing power aren't built off of average B-level contenders. Implying that Broner's "ducking" a division filled with B-level fighters to fight in a higher weightclass filled with ATG's has to rank up there as one of the more incredibly ******ed points of view that you'll find on a boxing message board. About as equally ******ed as if someone were to assert that Mosley moved up to Welterweight back in the early 2000's (where the biggest draw in the sport was present) as apart of a super secret plan to duck Tszyu, Judah & Mitchell.

And capturing that trinket would certainly put him better position for a showdown with a big name fighter, wouldn't you say?
