Originally posted by rey guey View Postwhen 1st heard about this fight I was sure Golovkin would win easy, I won't lie but after a little research I think Rosado has a real chance. and here's why
Rosado doesn't have a great record and was stopped by Angulo but in Rosado defence until 2012 Rosado was a full time construction worker. when you fight top 10 guys being a part time boxer won't cut and it showed in that fight.
if you watch his fights from 2012 Rosado has improved vastly. he must have something if Bernard Hopkins is mentoring him. his leg movement and upperbody movement have improved a lot. he's got fast hands and is a pretty good counter puncher.
what do we honestly know about Golovkin as a pro. no BS no hype.
he's got decent power, no denying that. he's destroyed a lot of C level guys, Proksa included but so did Tyrone Brunson. if Rosado can neturalize his power then what?
the only decent opponent he had was Kassim Ouma and he struggled. that was pretty close fight before GGG got the TKO in the 10th but Ouma did bust up GGG's face. Golovkin was tried after 4 rounds because he loads up on almost every shot. people want to believe he's super human but NO fighter can do that without getting tired.
all I know about GGG is he's a beast for 4 rounds and then starts to look normal. I know he get hits with everything he has no defense whatsoever.
boxing is all about styles and I think if the fight last more than 4 rounds Rosado has a good chance to take it because how many times have you seen a hard charging come foward bull get totally out classed by a boxer.

I am. What are those odds looking like now? Id expect at least 10/1. People really think this boy is a bum.
I don't know why they won't watch the fights. Rosado gets greater later and that's what I'm banking on.

I don't know what some of you see in Rosado to make you think he has any chance. Seems like a big mismatch to me.

I could see Rosado winning if he stays disciplined, works behind a jab and turns GGG using angles for 12 using his aggression to create offense.

Anyway, Golovkin, despite being overhyped, should win it easily. But I don't really get the 'shock the world' bit. Some might be surprised, but there won't be any shock.
