So if he fight old fighters he is fighting fighters past the their prime, yet when he fight them many were at the top of their respective divison and on the p4p list.

When he fight up and coming fighter (Ortiz) and soon to be Guerrero and Canelo will you be praising him for not fighting old fighters?

With Mayweather it's damned if you do damned if you don't, the guy can't fight everybody when he's fighting once a year.

Hatton, Judah, Marquez were not fighting at their best weight class.

So that leaves Corrales , Castillo and Hernandez(?) as his most legit wins, the last one in 2002.
Floyds best weight class isn't WW either.

Since you have Kessler in your avatar - may I ask you if you think Kessler is HOF worthy? (If he retired right now)

three of those were coming off big wins that saw them widely branded as rejuvenated fighters.

Gatti isn't a fight that Floyd can ever expect much credit for.

              nor was Mayweather.

although, Marquez also isn't a fight that Floyd can ever expect much credit for, given the surrounding circumstances.

it was generally expected that Pacquiao would blow away Marquez (perceived to be old and blown-up) in the second of their rematches. had he done so, great credit would probably not have been forthcoming to Pacquiao.

we saw a better conditioned Marquez than before, though, and his performance showed he could compete at the weight with the right preparation. in the third of their rematches, he was even more accustomed to carrying the weight. Mayweather likely beats any welterweight version of Marquez handily, but the version he beat in reality was the trial-run version, ie. the weakest version possible.

i call bs......that was the same marquez as far as im concerned.....it wasn't like marquez ever gassed or was outta shape or his skills were diminished.....he just got beat down by a much greater fighter. pac is just overrated and jmm exposed that.
