I'm talking about the ducking that happened between several fighters at 160-175 in 2008 and YOU single out Calzaghe. It is a known a fact that Calzaghe turned down Dawson, Johnson, Froch, Pavlik and a rematch with Hopkins to face Jones.
I do not care about Calzaghe, I don't either hate him or like him, I don't talk about him. Actually, I might go 1,000 posts before even mentioning Joe Calzaghe. There's nothing about Calzaghe or his wins that make me bitter.
Of course you don't. That's why you added this paragraph....
"Calzaghe ducked everybody though, Dawson, Johnson, Froch, Pavlik, Hopkins rematch. Everybody wanted him but he picked a shot Roy Jones."
...into a thread about Pavlik fighting Abraham. You're not fixating on Calzaghe at all
Unfortunately there will no fight. AA neither have power at 168 to destroy Pavlik nor can outbox him. He'll fight local bums for sure money and will try keep his belt forever.
Pavlik wouldn't have an easier time with Abraham than Hopkins?
What are you talking about, were you even around in October 2008 and before that? I guess not, you were not seeing the amount of fans and trainers asking for B-Hop to retire after the Calzaghe fights. Everyone was saying he's going to get killed.
Just cause Hopkins ended up taking Pavlik's soul, doesn't mean that coming in to the fight, Hopkins was some beast. Hopkins was underdog and actually the majority of the predictions were that Pavlik was going to UD or KO Hopkins.
Yup, and most of the so called experts were wrong. And if you read what the fans had to say in that thread many of them thought that Hopkins would win. But don't get me wrong because I was rooting for Pavlik. However, I knew that it wasn't going to be an easy fight for a straight forward ****er like Pavlik that was 10 pounds heavier to beat a fighter the caliper of Hopkins. And even with the lose to Calzaghe Bhop was still one of the best 175 pounders in the world and light years better then King Arthur was in 2008 or ever will be.
AA wants only to win the money...not fight the best. His recent fight was initially supposed to be against Edwin Rodriquez...but AA wanted an easy fight against the Frenchman.

This fight is 5 years late BUT it still has it's luster. This fight was red-hot when Pavlik was the middleweight king and Abraham was an undefeated champ hiding out in Europe. Hope it happens. Guaranteed barn-burner!!!!
To Sako5:
Source for AA vs. Rodriquez statement came to me from Edwin's manger after last HBO fight in September (I have been on the road with team Rodriquez last 2 1/2 years). Rodriquez agreed to go to Germany...but AA turned it down.
