    unfortunately not everyone is as honest and respectable as you. i mean there will always be someone opposing a fight, but looking on paper and seeing that floyd has only fought twice at LMW, then to ask for him to fight the best at MW, would be a bit of a jump. that said, i agree, "if you sign, you fight". even though i wouldn't like the idea of martinez draining himself to make 150 to fight mayweather, i wouldn't make any excuses as he himself (martinez) agreed to do it.

    he's been pro for 16 years. he could have literally gained 1 lb each year to currenty be at WW.

    what fight was he 150 for on fight night? i can't find any screenshots of the tale of the tapes for any of floyd's recent fights. saying "fighter X is not a big 'so and so'" sounds like that fighter doesn't belong at that current weight class and is better suited at the weight class below. floyd def belongs at WW compared to LWW. imo floyd's a solid WW, small LMW.

      Floyd wants to keep earning them big checks. I ain't mad at him, but his time is coming to an end. He better watch himself.

        He was 150 on fight night vs Ortiz. Watch it on youtube.

        And what you said about gaining 1 lb per year makes no sense. I've literally been the same weight for about 6 years now with moderate training and I work out a billion times less than Floyd does.

          what i was trying to say is that gaining 16 or 17 lbs in a 16 year career is not unheard of.

          only thing people should be mad at is that he spent some good years being inactive. he's the greatest of this generation, he could have given boxing more fights, but it is what it is. hopefully he doesn't end up staying in boxing for the paychecks. i'd like to see him retire on top.

            @frank

            I think Floyd should take Martinez up on his offer of a fight at 150lb catch weight fight or do it at 154 limit, like the Cotto fight ... Since Floyd doesn't want people to feel weight drained and uncomfortable.

            Martinez is the fight that needs to happen.

                Fight Sergio at 154 or 160.

                  Martinez at a full 154.

                  And yes, FMJ was 150 on fight night for Ortiz, who was 164. It was a rare occasion that Floyd bothered to step on the unofficial scales but it was hilarious because up to that point, we had little Pac boys swearing that Floyd rehydrates to 160+ and was/is some sort of giant welterweight. Dude is just little.

                    Retire..... 160 is too big of a jump (selfishly would like to see it for historical purposes)

                    His story has been written.... Go out on top and stay out
