Let's talk heavyweights.. its much easier to be an 'ATG' heavyweight than a ATG overall. Simply because the # of Great Heavyweights don't really exceed 20-25.


But if you are a top 20 heavyweight.. certainly that also make you a 'ATG'?

SMW division hasn't been around long enough to warrant calling anyone an ATG just because of their accomplishments there. Or else Ward is an ATG, which he certainly isn't.

His career resume is similar to that of Rocky Marciano but even at that atleast Marciano fought mostly in the states which I don't like saying this is the home of main-event boxing its where the big bucks are at, If you can grab the attention of the boxing fans over there you're going to make alot more and get alot more appeal to your name.
Only way he is similiar to Marciano is the fact he fought washed up past it fighters at the end of his career, atleast Marciano actually did have some rivalries with evenly skilled fighters and around his same age something I wouldn't say Joe did because he never wanted to fight Carl Froch...

Calzaghe toyed with Mikel. He did.. if you watch the fight. It was a good fight for 5 rounds.. than Calzaghe literally dominated every single second of every single round.. he even did his little Joe Dance in the later rounds and mocked him.


That was the best version of Mikel as well.

I mean if you all say Kesller was a good win for Ward(his best win actually) and a good opponent for Froch.. how much credit do you guys give Joe for utterly taking Prime Kessler's soul?>
