The idea makes sense and tennis has proven this works better, but it seems impossible to do without obstructing fans views

      I got it!

Suspend them mid air from a cable!

No giant chair, problem solved. I'll expect 25% of the cut at least if this idea goes into work.

i honestly dont believe for one second its the lack of a good view that causes these bad scores

        its most likely:

        1. Judge methodology. Some judges simply favor one criteria over another

        2. Racist judges like Ruben Garcia who only favor latinos

        3. Corruption

        4. Incompetence, ******ity

down on the list should be the inability to see the blows. Theres no perfect way to see EVERY single punch, judges are not computers, they are human beings and theres always some allowance for missing a few punches here or there.

THIS. I doubt fans would appreciate better scoring at the price of hurting their viewing experience. Perhaps turning their focus to some kind of replay technology for judging would be a better solution.

EXCELLENT IDEA. But wouldn't that get in the way of the view for the people in expensive seats? If so, not happening

Am down with this idea. F the giant glass chairs and suspend this motherF'rs above live pool of crocodiles. If any corrupting judging is suspected, judges will be suspended off into the crocs.

                burner,

you lost me at joe cortez is a genius.

judging needs to institute an age policy.

No way in hell should a guy in his 70s and 80s be scoring a fight.

If you look at all the blatant robberies and horrible scores in history, a lot of the judges are in their god damn 70s and 80s.

I think they'd be better hanging upside down by their big toes, from lampposts.

By the way, I think a moderator or someone removed my earlier post, in which I pointed out that this idea of moving the judges higher comes out every few years. I first recall it sometime in the 1960s. I think they were then meaning something like the football commentators who were in glassed-in booths.

I also said that seeing Cortez described as a referee was unpleasant, that and ex-referee, or a retired referee would be more accurate. I personally try to erase the sight and sound of Mr. "Firm but I'm Fair". He's spoiled more fights than Randy Neumann, or the guy who reffed that infamous match between Courtney Burton and Emanuel Augustus, where he penalised Augustus for spinning out of a clinch.
That was the fight where Teddy Atlas was frothing at the mouth and blowing steam through his ears whilst instructing a Commission member on the difference between a Majority decision and a split decision. Worth watching again. Augustus gave Burton the works in their return. I think he KO'd him. Ruined Burton's run to fame and glory.
