50's first problem: he has a stable of Name boxers - not great, big names, but names nonetheless. He can't pay them peanuts and he can't put them on Friday Night Fights, his stable is going to demand Showtime or HBO headliners or televised undercards. That's tough for a new promoter.
His next few problems are self inflicted: since he doesn't have a big enough stable to do an in house fight card, he's going to have to work with another promoter. Despite 50's financial success background, the fact is he started a boxing promotional company, got a lot of hype for it, and then dissolved and reformatted it without even putting on a single card. That's a red flag for any potential investors, promoters, venues, and boxers looking to sign. People want to do business with a stable company, not one that might change within the year.
Fact is, Caballero and Gamboa are both over 30 (not sure about Billy Dib). I see both Caballero and Gamboa going for another maybe 2-4 years before retiring. There's no rising contenders in 50's stable. TR and GPB both have rising stars that are going to excite both old and new fans and make all the more money within the next few years as the current fighters retire. Once 50's stable retires, he has....nobody.
There's no star. In a stable that small, there has to be a star. Probably the closest thing to a star is Billy Dib because he has an IBF title(right?)
I can easily see Oscar refusing to work or set unfair splits with 50 just to spite him just as easily as I can see Bob Arum using 50 and doing business with him to spite Floyd. Once 50 figures this out, I want someone with a camera to record his tirade. Shame too, I liked watching Caballero and Gamboa fight.

So much for TMT taking over boxing.
Boxing promotion is a tough business. Just look at Shane Mosley promotions, Square Ring promotions, Vargas promotions, Hatton Promotions, and countless others. Soon 50 cent promotional company will fall by the wayside too.
Floyd knowing boxing the way he does was probably well aware of this and is the reason he stuck with Al Haymon and Golden Boy. I mean why ruin the relationship that has made you boxings highest earner?

Put it this way,
Haymon will always do well on his own even without Floyd. Floyd on his own as a promoter is useless. When Floyd retires, Haymon will have no use for him.
Floyd with 50, plus TMT could have had a better chance of succeeding as opposed to being left on their own.
So Floyd better make enough money before leaving boxing.
