Do I have to break down for you how Judah/Alexander are completely different types of fighters than Garcia?
You then ask what has Mathysse done?
Judah/Alexander are different styles than Garcia but are they better than Garcia who is 24 and has KO power? When was the last time Alexander KO'd anyone? Dude looks horrible in his fights and he arguably lost the fights he won. Kotelnik comes to mind. Zab and Alexander are not that good.
I asked what has Matthysse done because what has he done at 140? He couldn't get the win on Zab or Alexander. What other top 140 guy has he beaten to suggest he can beat a top 140LB like Garcia? If you feel like he has the style to beat Garcia then that's totally fine with me but he is not a finisher and that is going to hurt his career. In my opinion he is on the Luis Collazo path. Good enough but not good enough to win the big fights clear enough against legit competition to get the W. You compared Soto to Garcia at 140 when Soto hasn't fought there before Matthysse and you have the nerve to say I'm bugging and not understanding the game? Please.

Just the fact Matthysse had Judah hurt and let him off the hook shows he still needs to develop. I know styles make fights but Khan totally out classed Zab even before the so called low blow Zab was complaining about. Zab was getting beat and it wasn't close.

What other top 140 lber has he beaten??? I guess you didn't know that Olusegun was the number 1 contender for years did you? Matter of fact, Team Garcia decided to fight Morales instead of Olusegun after Olusegun called him out face to face.
Then you discredit Alexander when he's never even been close to being stopped throughout his career while Khan was stopped twice before Garcia.
Regarding Soto, yes that was a very solid reason. I put Soto in the same boat as Rios. Just like I knew Rios would defeat Alvarado when moving up in weight, "regardless" of the fact that he was moving up in weight and never fought at 140.
I can see it now, had Alvarado won, you would've discredited Alvarado's win with "what has Rios done at 140".
Oh yeah and saying "I know styles make fights, but" doesn't cut it. How can you acknowledge styles make fights then go on to continue to bring up the Judah/Alexander fights even though Garcia has a completely different style?
That's like me saying Garcia beat Holt by SD so he can't beat Mathysse lol No, Holt and Mathysse also have two different styles so I would never make that type of comparison like you're trying to make.Last edited by BoxingGenius27; 10-28-2012, 07:06 PM.

Khan has been stopped once in his pro career and once in the amateurs so get it right. As a pro he got stopped once. Khan beat Zab up and Matthysse couldn't finish him. That's more of a measuring stick than anything. Weak chinned Khan who's been stopped twice (once in amateurs and once in pros) beat Zab up effortlessly but this so called beast Matthysse with 30 KO's could not finish Zab even though he had him hurt. You make so many excuses and find ways to make what you say seem valid but it is not even right and exact.
Rios win over Alvarado was a solid win and would have been good if it were the other way. I just don't feel like Rios is that good because prior he couldn't make weight and stunk the place up. He has a chin and a punch but so did a lot of others and when they went against someone that could neutralize that, then they had no answers. Alvarado was a better win for Rios than Soto for Matthysse because Alvarado was a 140 fighter and Rios was moving up, while Soto was moving up and Matthysse was comfortable there.
Good win but not better than anything Garcia did at 140 and doesn't say how a fight between Garcia/Matthysse would go considering Matthysse didn't dominate Judah/Alexander who were over the guys he fought prior. Garcia is better than Zab and Alexander in my opinion.

Dude got 8 loses on his resume. He was good at 135 but 140 untested. Damn you are stubborn. Lets be real..... Alexander is not that good. Just look at his last fight, Kotelnik and Bradley. Matthysse is a finisher against opponents that are not resilient. Zab is not good at this point and hasn't been against anyone solid in a long time but he could not finish him. This is a fair assessment I'm making. Khan was stopped twice but he was winning with exception to Peterson but was top of the division.

After weeks of telling you the same thing, you'll never understand it. And you call yourself an "INTELLIGENT" poster??????
Holy schit, I feel like I'm talking to Puga or somebody.
Styles make fights and fighters make fights and you're over here talking about Khan beat Judah and Mathysse loss to Judah, but Garcia beat Khan and that's some kind of measuring stick....
Man, we're done here.

Off the top of my head, I think they're rather similar. Sure Soto was moving up in weight, but I think he's more than capable of beating a lot of 140 lbers
Originally posted by BoxingGenius27 View PostMy guess is because Garcia is a fellow Phillidelphia fighter, saying "no matter what happens, Garcia will be a problem", is a nice way of saying Garcia will go out fighting, but he's not confident Garcia wins that fight.
Originally posted by BoxingGenius27 View PostFor the record, when Richardson said "No matter what happens, Garcia will be a problem for anyone", he's basically saying he feels Garcia puts up a good fight, but he's not convinced Garcia beats Mathysse. That's why he says "NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS", meaning if Mathysse busts dat ass, Garcia will go out fighting.

He said Garcia wouldn't have problems with Judah = Garcia will beat Judah.
When talking about Mathysse, he only said Garcia will be a "problem" for anyone lol In other words, that's a nice way of saying Garcia will put up a fight but he's not convinced Garcia will win.
Pretty simple stuff here.
Another fighter who wants to fight Garcia in the future is the feared puncher Lucas Matthysse (32-2, 30KOs) of Argentina.
"Tough fight for both of them. I think Danny's boxing skills are little bit better than Matthysse. But, Mattyhsse is one of the few guys that Danny would face as a champion that might be able to take some of [his punches] too. I think he can take it better than [Amir] Khan or [Erik] Morales can, and he can give it back too. Danny is not going away quietly...no matter what happens. If you can get on the scale and make 140, and Danny gets on the scale and makes 140 - you got a problem. No matter who you are, you got a problem," Naazim said

I didn't realize how true this statement was until today.
You make RUSTler look like the dumbass he is and all he does is reply with "I just owned you or schooled you".
RUSTler is 1st place in the Biggest Loser competition. Just sayin.
